The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1027: Chapter 1027: Blade in Hand, Shadow in the Dark

The movie showed the cast list and the ending song. Just when the audience thought the film concluded with the male protagonist’s death, with the ending song playing, a scene appeared on the screen. On a stormy night, a woman, a Hidden Guard of the royal family, was startled awake by a nightmare.

She sat at the bedside, staring blankly at the rain outside the window, murmuring, ”It’s me.”

In the dream, she saw the Red Headband, saw the other fourteen girls who were killed, and saw many past events.

The movie fast forwarded the opening scenes in gray, and when the subtitles finally ended, the whole film was truly over.

If it only ended with the hero’s death, it might feel somewhat bittersweet, but the last scene of the movie, like a dragon’s tail sweep, touched upon the beginning. It was as if adding the finishing touch to a dragon drawing, suddenly giving the entire movie a charm.

Audiences leaving the cinema were still puzzled, ”Was it really her?”

”In the end, was it a dream or a memory from the past?”

”If it really was her, did she remember later on, or did she always know about her identity?”

”If she always knew her identity, then why did she kill her father with her own hands?”

”If she remembered only after killing her father, does she regret it in her heart?”

So many questions make this movie endlessly thought-provoking.

”Actually, having found this actress with similar eyes should mean she is the male protagonist’s daughter, right?”

”I have no idea what the director and the scriptwriter are thinking. Let’s go home and @ them! We must get an answer!”

The audiences who watched the movie went home to frantically @ the director and screenwriter online, arousing more curiosity about the movie and driving more people to see it.

The scriptwriter called the director, ”That last scene, was it your doing?”

In the scriptwriter’s original plot, the Vigilante Thief being killed was the end.

The director chuckled warmly, ”Without the dragon’s tail sweep, without tying up the beginning, the film wouldn’t be complete.”

The scriptwriter sighed helplessly, ”Your sweep was too carefree; aren’t you going to explain it?”

”What is there to explain? If we clarify everything, there won’t be the current sensation.”

”I also want to know what you were thinking, director. Are you really planning to let the movie end with patricide? It’s a bit... melancholic.”

”A peaceful era doesn’t need a Vigilante Thief. The Princess made him a Vigilante Thief, naturally, it’s the Princess who removes him. The Princess gives him a future of peace, and as for the Hidden Guard, they live in the shadows, also assisting the Princess in achieving a peaceful era.”

”Just for a peaceful era, patricide?”

”Many things cannot have both. Didn’t the Princess know about her origins? Would someone who hasn’t thoroughly investigated their background become the Princess’s Hidden Guard? Perhaps, it was merely a test by the Princess. If she didn’t kill the thief, she would certainly die.”

”This makes it even harder to accept, killing her father to survive?”

”It’s not for survival; it’s for the peaceful era. She said long ago that she couldn’t remember much from her childhood, but it seems that’s how it was. Yet, she pledged herself, this life is the blade in Her Royal Highness Princess’s hand, living in the shadows, unrelated to the past. She has already told her father she wants to be the blade in the Princess’s hand, the shadow in the dark, for the peaceful era, for the ending her father also desired.”

”Ah, so I’m the screenwriter, you’re the director?” The scriptwriter sighed bitterly. She had also applied for the director department back then but didn’t get in, ending up as just a scriptwriter.
