The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 460: Chapter 460: Xiao Zaizai’s Future Plans Chapter 460: Chapter 460: Xiao Zaizai’s Future Plans “Pastoral Life” abruptly left the village overnight, with Little Taotie and Xiao Lingzhi sound asleep in the vehicle.

When Xiao Lingzhi woke up, she was already lying on a plush, soft hotel bed.

Xiao Lingzhi turned over and lay on the bed, quietly watching Little Taotie.

She sighed softly; had she not overheard the adults talking, she would not have known that someone had stolen Little Taotie’s identity, and while the imposter enjoyed delicious food and a lavish life for many years, Little Taotie toiled away hungrily digging soil in the mountains.

“That’s so tragic!” she exclaimed.

Little Taotie suddenly opened her eyes.

Xiao Lingzhi covered her mouth, watching Little Taotie, relieved: thankfully, she was still half asleep and hadn’t heard anything!

“Xiao Lingzhi, where are we?” asked Little Taotie as she sat up, the blanket slipping down, her big eyes misty and her cheeks flushed.

“We’re at the hotel; the show’s crew left the village overnight.”

“Why?”

“The part where you hurt someone definitely couldn’t be broadcasted, so the director thought it better to just scrap this theme and rearrange for the next episode.”

“It’s being deleted again?” Little Taotie recalled how the show on Little Island had been entirely cut last time and said in her milky voice, “Making TV shows is really not easy.”

Xiao Lingzhi nodded, “For a show to succeed and be broadcasted, it has already gone through many difficulties.”

“Little Taotie, have you thought about what you want to do when you grow up?”

Little Taotie pursed her lips and shook her head, “Things are pretty good now.”

Xiao Lingzhi sat cross-legged on the bed, her little face earnest, “We’re young now and can be child stars, but stardom relies on youth. When we grow up and get old, we definitely can’t remain stars forever, so we need to plan for our future.”

Little Taotie tilted her head, her eyes blank, “Do we have to plan for the future now?”

Little Taotie counted on her fingers, “Then… then when school starts again, I’ll study hard, and think about it later, okay?”

“You’re too naive, if you leave it till later, it’ll be too late!” said Xiao Lingzhi as she spread her hands, “I’m already in elementary school, we have to write journal entries, essays, and take exams!”

“Let me tell you, the questions the teachers set are very difficult. Essay topics include ‘My Dream,’ ‘When I Grow Up, I Want to Be…’ and so on!”

At this, Little Taotie’s face scrunched up, “But I haven’t thought about it.”

“You need to think of something, otherwise during exams, you won’t be able to write a single word, and you’ll get a big fat zero!”

“A big fat zero…”

“Yes, a zero! Getting a zero means getting punished!”

“Punished!”

“Yes, either a smack on the palm of the hand or a spanking. If I get a failing grade, my mom will make me stand still without moving and face the wall to reflect on my actions!”

Little Taotie felt standing still couldn’t be too hard, and since she’d been disciplined with physical punishment by her mom in the mountains since she was little, she wasn’t afraid of getting spanked.

Seeing her unafraid, Xiao Lingzhi, in a lower voice, added, “And you’ll be hungry!”

“Hungry!” Little Taotie’s eyes widened in disbelief and resistance, with a hint of alarm.

“Scared now?”

Little Taotie nodded.

Xiao Lingzhi sighed, “So you should start thinking about it now, what to be when you grow up. Then when it’s time to write essays, you’ll be able to write it quickly! And guess what, if you score a hundred percent, there are rewards!”

“Rewards?” Little Taotie’s eyes lit up.

Xiao Lingzhi nodded vigorously, “Lots of pocket money, lots of tasty food, lots of beautiful clothes, and also many toys…”

Little Taotie’s eyes shone brighter, her voice filled with anticipation, “Can I have lots and lots of tangerine cans?”

“Of course, you can!”

Little Taotie clenched her little fists, “I’ll definitely score a hundred percent!”
