The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 459: Chapter 459: The Money Won’t Be Returned Chapter 459: Chapter 459: The Money Won’t Be Returned Old Lady Hu doubted her own ears and it took her a while to come around. She looked down at the money in her arms and then up at the speaker, “Are you really giving fifty thousand?”

“Yes.”

“That’s too much…”

Tao Mo interrupted her, “Every child is a treasure to their family. If your child had hurt my dear grandson, let alone fifty thousand, we wouldn’t settle even for five million.”

Old Lady Hu: “…”

It’s good that my grandson can’t beat Strength God, or even if we went bankrupt, we wouldn’t have been able to compensate!

…

Carrying her clothes, Old Lady Hu returned home in a daze.

Old Man Hu chuckled, “You always say I’m senile, look, today you’ve met someone even more confused than me!”

Old Lady Hu raised her eyelids and gave him a disdainful glance, “What are you so proud of? That old man had clear reasoning and was generous, can you compare to him?”

Old Man Hu was baffled, “He gave the wrong card and you say he had clear reasoning?”

“He didn’t give the wrong card.” Old Lady Hu exhaled.

“He didn’t give the wrong card?” everyone asked in unison.

Still in a daze, Old Lady Hu nodded, “He said it was fifty thousand as compensation, the doctor said my grandson was malnourished, he told me to buy more nutritious food for the boy. I refused to take the money, he said that if I didn’t accept it, it meant I wouldn’t forgive his granddaughter, and he got angry. I had no choice but to bring the money back.”

Suddenly the boy’s father looked towards Second Aunt Hu.

Second Aunt Hu puzzled, “Brother, why are you looking at me like that?”

The boy’s father’s eyes shone, “You were telling the truth!”

“What is true?”

“That watch! That watch must be real, worth over a million! A casual expenditure of fifty thousand just for soup bones, that watch is definitely worth over a million no doubt!”

Old Lady Hu sighed, “Originally we stormed over there with great fanfare, if they hadn’t compensated, I definitely would have cursed them to death! Now, not only did they compensate, they did so generously, I feel guilty about it.”

Thinking about how they had intimidated them with harsh words when she took the women from her house over, she felt somewhat regretful.

These people weren’t unreasonable, as opposed to her own family who acted like irrational troublemakers.

The boy’s father laughed heartily, “Who would have thought my son’s toes were so valuable! He should have smashed a few more–ow!”

Old Lady Hu grabbed his ear and twisted it hard, “Would any real father say such a thing? You’ve got money in your eyes! Let’s see if your old mother doesn’t twist your ear off!”

“I know I was wrong, forgive me please! I was just joking, I was really just joking! How could I not care about my son, I love him so much, even if they gave me five hundred thousand, I wouldn’t want him to get hurt…”

…

After a night’s discussion, the Hu family decided to return the money.

The next morning, Old Lady Hu knocked on the door of the house at the foot of the mountain.

“Knock knock knock…”

The wind blew, but there was no movement inside.

Old Lady Hu was extremely puzzled, she waited a long time and no one came, so she had to go back home with the money.

Back home, the Hu family crowded around her, all talking at once, asking questions.

Old Lady Hu sighed, “No one was there.”

For several days, Old Lady Hu went to knock on the door every day, but still, no one answered.

Old Lady Hu was anxious and sought out the village chief, and told him everything all at once.

After listening to her recount the events, the village chief calmly spoke, “They were here in the village to film a show, hiding their identities and pretending to be new villagers. Unfortunately, an incident occurred on their first day, and they decided to leave the village that very night, abandoning the show too.”

Old Lady Hu’s eyes widened as if she was hearing some improbable tale, and it took her a long time to process, “Village chief, are you joking with me?”

The village chief shook his head, “I’m telling the truth. The child who injured your grandson is quite a famous Little Star, let me check.”

The village chief took out his cell phone, not very adept with the device, but managed to find the previous episodes of Pastoral Life, opened one, and handed it to Old Lady Hu.

Old Lady Hu, still in a daze, returned home where the Hu family gathered around, and she gave a bitter smile, “It seems the money won’t be returned.”
