CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 546: Chapter 554: Please Give Your Comment

”Yes!” Jane Sampson stepped up with her legs together and then ran over with a wide grin to stand in front of the black-face instructor.

The black-face instructor glanced at Jane Sampson’s face, which bore a grim-looking smile, and he inexplicably thought of his own Chief when he had the same expression.

”I will demonstrate with Jane Sampson, and the rest of you standing beneath, don’t space out. Keep your eyes peeled and watch closely!” the black-face instructor walked over to Jane Sampson’s side, then extended his hand, gripping Jane Sampson, and asked, ”Let’s test you first. If I’m a bad guy and I grab you like this from behind, what would you do?”

Under the cameraman’s lens, Jane Sampson flashed a profound smile. After the instructor had spoken, the next second, Jane suddenly bent forward and effortlessly performed an over-the-shoulder throw on the black-face instructor behind her, slamming him neatly onto the ground. Her movement didn’t drag at all.

The surroundings fell into an eerie silence for a moment, and the instructor, lying on the ground, remained stunned in that position for a good few seconds, his eyes catching Jane Sampson’s triumphant face.

It wasn’t until Jane inquired loudly, ”Instructor, may I have your comments?”

Her little face was as smug as could be, and finally, everyone could no longer hold back and burst out laughing, even the subordinates behind the black-face instructor were shaking their shoulders, struggling to suppress their giggles.

Seeing that the instructor was still lying on the ground, Jane Sampson reached out her tender little hand to pull the black-face instructor up.

As the black-face instructor stood up again, he couldn’t help but take another look at Jane Sampson, asking with a hint of surprise, ”Have you practiced before?”

”Instructor, Sir, yes!” Jane replied in a well-behaved manner, leaving no room for criticism.

The corner of the black-face instructor’s mouth twitched. The little miss had been waiting for him all along, he thought. She had a scheming smile from the moment she stepped out, apparently up to no good from the start.

”Very good, the movement was standard and forceful, and can give potential attackers a surprise,” the instructor praised Jane without stinginess, noticing from her hold and positioning during the throw that her self-defense must have been taught by someone from the guard team.

”Thank you for the compliment, Instructor!” The smile of a little fox was now unstoppable.

Not far away, Lieutenant Johnson, along with Peter Gingery, couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Turning to Peter, he said, ”Your sister-in-law is quite the character.”

Lieutenant Johnson also felt reassured. It seemed that the chief’s wife wasn’t entirely useless, just lousy at shooting.

”Indeed, after all, she is my little Jane,” Peter replied proudly, ”She’s been learning self-defense with me since she was young.”

Peter had witnessed Jane’s transition from throwing cotton-like soft punches to delivering powerful blows.

As a child, Jane wasn’t very healthy and often fell ill, also being a picky eater, which made her shorter than her peers by half a head.

When they learned self-defense together, Jane was really all short arms and skinny legs, chuckling her way through practice. Though she looked the part, her punches felt like tickles. Old Master Black gave Jane the nickname of ’cotton-like soft punches.’

During that period, the seniors at the great courtyard would tease Jane by turning their backs to her and then saying, ”Little Jane, give uncle a dose of those cotton-like soft punches, let’s see how well you’ve learned.”
