CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 547: Chapter 555: More Recordings in the Evening

When Jane Sampson pouted and giggled, landing her cotton-like soft punches on their backs, they seemed to enjoy it.

After a while, when Jane finally caught on that the adults were always teasing her, she became reluctant, and no one could coax her into throwing her cotton-like soft punches anymore.

Lieutenant Johnson and Peter Gingery watched for a while before they left, and over there, when one of Jane Sampson’s moves put the black-face instructor at a disadvantage, Alexander SkyShaw and a few others got excited and began to encourage Jane to spar with the black-face instructor.

After Jane stopped, she slowly turned her head and retorted to Alexander SkyShaw, ”You think I’m stupid?” Accompanied by an eye roll.

To spar with a skilled soldier, how arrogant would she have to be?

The few moves she had learned could help her find an opportunity to escape against a common thug, but if she faced someone strong and ruthless, she would simply have to accept her fate, let alone an instructor from the guard team.

Besides, Jane had long neglected her practice.

Because Jane had previous training, the black-face instructor’s teaching became much easier and smoother. After all, Jane knew the key points, and he didn’t have to worry about accidentally hurting her. Plus, Jane’s demonstrations were very standard, so he didn’t need to waste his breath; as soon as he said something, Jane would get it instantly and could immediately cooperate in making the corresponding moves.

However, since Jane had prior training, the morning’s training was just a review and reinforcement for her, but for the other few, it left the black-face instructor gasping for breath.

And for Mair Williams and several others, who hesitated and lacked strength, it almost drove the black-face instructor to a look of despair.

Perhaps also knowing that after yesterday’s intense training and this morning, everyone had reached their limit, so after lunch, when the instructor announced that they would go to the vegetable field for some lighter farm work in the afternoon, the group of eight truly breathed a sigh of relief.

Next to the guard team base was a large plot of land that the team members had cleaned up to grow vegetables. Many of the vegetables in the guardian team’s cafeteria came from here, self-produced and consumed.

Compared to training, coming here to water the plants, weed, and pick vegetables, the afternoon was arguably the most relaxed half day since entering the guard team. Everyone could work while having moments to talk and chat. Seeing ripe tomatoes, they could pick and wipe them on their clothes and eat them raw.

After dinner, everyone thought that there would be no activities as usual and they could go straight back to the dormitory to take a bath and rest, but on the way back, Helen Watson called out to Jane and the others, reminding them, ”You don’t have to hurry to clean up after you return; wait for a while. We still have a bit of a show to shoot tonight, and I’ll call you one by one from your dormitories.”

Jane nodded in acknowledgment and said alright, then supported Hibiscus Wood on one side and Charlotte Miller on the other as they headed back to the dormitory.

Hibiscus Wood and Mair Williams were somewhat better off, being an actor and a singer, their physiques weren’t too far off, especially the actors who had encountered all kinds of tough conditions in acting.

But Charlotte Miller’s physical condition was much poorer, she had already started to struggle in the afternoon; her usual work was basically indoors, and occasionally outdoors, and as a host, she wasn’t accustomed to the hardship of the past two days.

Helen Watson glanced at Charlotte Miller, thought for a moment, and then spoke up, ”Why don’t you come with me first? After we’ve finished recording for you, you can head back and rest early.”

”Okay, thank you, Sister Helen Watson,” Charlotte Miller said with a grateful face.
