Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2224: Chapter 2218: Too Much

In the Qin family, Qin Jiale and Qin Yu looked at the packed bags their parents had prepared, feeling a bit helpless. Although they wanted to bring things for their sister, wasn’t there a bit too much packed?

”Dad, please don’t pack anymore. If we bring too much and Sister can’t finish it, it will go bad.” Qin Yu wasn’t unwilling to bring things, but the weather was still hot, and food items wouldn’t last. Bringing spoiled items would be a waste.

Regarding what to bring, the siblings mostly thought bringing more would just make it a little tiring, but if the food spoils, then it can’t be eaten. This would make it difficult for their sister to watch without eating, which would be unpleasant.

”Yeah, Dad, please don’t pack any more. We’ve got enough already. Besides, have you seen how many bags we have? If we bring even more, how are we supposed to get on the train with only two people? Besides, classmates are also going to visit relatives and are definitely bringing lots too. How are we supposed to carry everything then, right?” Qin Jiale knew Ye Zishu was traveling with her, but she didn’t know who Ye Zishu was visiting or even the place. If she had to bring so much and follow Ye Zishu, she really wouldn’t know what to do.

”Alright, I won’t pack anymore. Just bring these. If your sister needs anything, you write to me, and your mom and I will prepare and send it to her. Understood?” Qin Lei really wanted to pack more, but after listening to his children, he looked at the bundles on the floor. It seemed a bit excessive, so he decided not to pack more. If they need anything later, they can send it once the weather cools.

”Okay, but don’t pack any more, or when we take the train, I bet others will complain.” Qin Jiale definitely didn’t want her and her brother to become the odd ones out in others’ eyes.

With so many people on the train, if everyone stared at them, she’d feel utterly embarrassed.

But she wasn’t rejecting her father’s actions; she just thought it wasn’t necessary.

”What are you talking about? Your dad just wants you to bring some home specialties to your sister. Why would others have any complaints? You aren’t taking their stuff, so why would they complain?” Nangong Shulan stepped in just as she heard her younger daughter’s comments.

Seeing the items on the floor, she understood why her daughter was saying this. She hadn’t realized that what seemed like a small amount turned into so many bags when packed. It’s true you don’t know until you pack; once packed, it’s a shocker.

”We’re bringing too much and taking up people’s space. People are bound to have complaints.” Qin Jiale was aware of what kind of people rode trains.

Take last time, for instance. Even Qin Qiu had complaints, but she’s better now. Otherwise, considering self-family ties, she had complaints, not to mention others.

However, since last time, Qin Jiale has retained some emotional baggage and decided perhaps it’s better to bring less.

It’s not that Qin Jiale entirely blamed Qin Qiu for discomfort, but after they brought things back last time and people in the village talked, she didn’t want too many family items to appear in outsiders’ eyes.

Because like that, she felt a sense of discomfort. Others would get envious, and she’d have to deal with it, which was exhausting. So she didn’t want to do it. But since her dad packed too much this time, she couldn’t avoid it and thought of bringing less next time. It needed dividing out.

Upon hearing her mother’s words now, she wondered if she was being overly sensitive.
