22: Chapter 22 Snapdragon 835 and Future PlansAfter seeing off Peng Rizhao,

Bai Jingqing checked his system once again.

He now had a total of 287,882 profit points.

A little over 280,000;

he would soon have enough profit points to buy the xiaomi 5.

However, whether or not he should unlock the full version of the xiaomi 5,

Bai Jingqing was now somewhat hesitant.

Although upgrading from the xiaomi 4 to the xiaomi 5 only involved a processor upgrade,

it did indeed seem a bit lacking in sincerity.

But when he searched for the xiaomi 6,

it actually required 3 million profit points.

He didn’t know how long it would take to save up that much.

He had two models now;

should he just keep selling them like this,

and wait until he saved 3 million to unlock the full version of the xiaomi 6?

After all, the xiaomi 6 was much stronger than the xiaomi 5;

it had become a timeless classic in the future,

sought after by many phone enthusiasts.

Thinking about the massive point gap needed to unlock the xiaomi 6,

Bai Jingqing felt a headache coming on.

This won’t do, it really won’t do!

From what he had seen today,

the profitability of such a small mobile phone shop was truly limited.

However, he had no way to truly establish a technology company yet;

after all, his debts hadn’t been paid off.

One good thing about this mobile phone profiteer system

was that although unlocking new models deducted profit points,

it did not deduct actual money.

So, he had been saving this money up,

and now had about 380,000 in total.

It had only been one day,

and he had earned 380,000.

While this rate of earning was already very fast,

it would still take a long period of accumulation to clear tens of millions in debt.

He decided to first save enough profit points for the xiaomi 6,

then launch the full version of the xiaomi 6 in one go,

relying on the xiaomi 6 to fully repay the debt.

The xiaomi 6 could be called a legendary device of its generation;

there was a jingle in his past life,

which went: ’Buy the new, not the old, unless it’s a xiaomi 6.’

In his past life, the xiaomi 6 was released in 2017,

and it was still sought after by many enthusiasts seven or eight years later.

A very important reason for this was that its chip performance was sufficient.

The xiaomi 6 was also equipped with a Snapdragon chip,

the snapdragon 835.

Compared to the snapdragon 820,

the improvement would be even greater.

He searched the mall for the snapdragon 835 chip again;

the system mall price was 200,000 profit points.

He suddenly felt tempted again.

Although he had decided not to unlock the full xiaomi 5,

he felt that unlocking a snapdragon 835 chip first was very viable.

It was for the same reason as before:

the snapdragon 820 was indeed quite far ahead of the li xiang 6 series chips,

but who knew if Ideal still had technical reserves?

Perhaps Ideal also had chips stronger than the snapdragon 820

that just hadn’t been released yet.

If he unlocked this snapdragon 835 processor,

it would be two generations ahead of the current li xiang 6 series chips on the market.

With this mass-producible snapdragon 835,

Bai Jingqing could say he was completely at ease.

If he really couldn’t save enough profit points for the xiaomi 6 later,

couldn’t he just sell the chips separately to other manufacturers just the same?

Thinking of this,

he no longer hesitated

and purchased the snapdragon 835 chip.

After obtaining this chip,

Bai Jingqing didn’t stay idle;

he quickly disassembled another xiaomi 4,

installed the snapdragon 835,

and successfully powered it on once again.

This chip was indeed very powerful;

the previous stuttering feeling was greatly reduced,

playing heroic battle records was a breeze,

and browsing the web was very fast.

He actually wanted to play some more performance-heavy games

to see where the limit of this snapdragon 835 truly was,

but what particularly performance-heavy games were there in this era?

Even manufacturers didn’t dare to develop those particularly large-scale games,

so if he wanted to play those types of games,

he would probably have to wait a few more years,

until mobile processors had fully developed.

And his appearance undoubtedly accelerated this process.

But suddenly, he thought of something he could use for testing:

the classic benchmarking tool from his past life, AnTuTu.

So he quickly downloaded AnTuTu and started a benchmark run.

However, he didn’t know if it was because there was no specialized optimization,

or because this chip wasn’t in AnTuTu’s database,

but the benchmarking process was constantly stuttering.
