Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2112: Chapter 2107: Are You Trying to Make Me Leave?

Liao Ting’s words were harsh, implying Qin Jian’s disloyalty to An Hao.

She cursed Yuan Yunong and then cursed him, and there’s no telling if she’ll go out tomorrow and spread gossip.

”Liao Ting, it’s one thing not to help when others are in trouble, but don’t stir up trouble with your words here! If you have something to say, say it, if not, I’m sorry, but I’m going to close the door,” Qin Jian said with a stony face.

”Go ahead and close it! I really wonder how An Hao would feel if she knew about this when she comes back,” Liao Ting quickly said before the door closed.

Qin Jian halted his movement and looked at Liao Ting, saying lightly, ”No one knows what An Hao will think when she comes back. I only know that if I make a phone call to Wang Zhong now, his thoughts about what you’re doing won’t be very good.”

”Ah! Are you threatening me?”

”I’m not threatening you. If you still intend to say those annoying words, I will definitely make what I just said a reality,” said Qin Jian.

”You... fine, you’re tough. If next time I...”

Before Liao Ting could finish her sentence, Qin Jian waved his hand, and the door slammed shut.

Oh boy, she barely escaped in time; if she had been slower, her forehead might have been injured.

Qin Jian went to the kitchen and saw Yuan Yunong cooking amid the oil and salt, while Ning Chenyang squatted on the ground, meticulously selecting vegetables.

”Chenyang! Are you cold? Go take a break! Let the teacher handle the rest! It’s too cold in the kitchen; we can’t let you catch a cold! If your mom comes back and finds out both of you are sick, she’ll be heartbroken!” Yuan Yunong said without turning her head.

”Oh, alright, teacher!” Ning Chenyang stood up, dusted his little hands, and looked up to see Qin Jian standing there.

”Papa!”

”Good boy! Go check on how your little brother is doing. I have a few words to discuss with Teacher Yuan.”

”Okay.”

Yuan Yunong finished cooking, served the food on the table, removed her apron, and hung it on a nail on the wall: ”I’ve finished making the food; you can eat now. If there’s nothing else, I’ll go keep Chenguang company.”

”Teacher Yuan, I want to talk to you about earlier...”

Yuan Yunong pursed her lips, unconcerned, ”Captain Qin, you don’t have to speak; I understand. She’s just spouting nonsense; I have nothing to hide! I’m simply here to help An Hao and assist the kids, and I don’t feel like I’ve done anything shameful.”

”Teacher Yuan, I understand your kindness. But, I’m not worried about rumors; what about you? What about An Hao? What if the two of you cause trouble with each other because of this situation?”

Qin Jian made it clear that he didn’t want to cause unnecessary issues with Yuan Yunong due to gossip, nor did he want Yuan Yunong to face difficulties.

And he especially didn’t want An Hao to come back and misunderstand anything.

”Captain Qin, you’re chasing me away, aren’t you? I understand!” Yuan Yunong chuckled, saying, ”I understand your point. How about this, I’ll inform Chenguang, then I’ll leave!”

Yuan Yunong returned to the bedroom where Ning Chenguang and Chenyang were reading picture books.

Seeing Yuan Yunong come in, Ning Chenguang was very happy and put down his picture book, shouting, ”Teacher Yuan, don’t leave! Stay with me!”

Yuan Yunong smiled slightly and said, ”I have to go back, take good care of your illness, and I’ll come play with you tomorrow!”
