Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1684: Chapter 1684 The Most Handsome Serious Man

For An Hao, military exercises had become a routine matter.

Though there is no war in times of peace, military drills are still necessary. The military places great emphasis on drills, as they are the primary means of assessing the combat capability of the forces.

Generally, the troops undergo months of adaptive training before participating in a military exercise.

Therefore, when Qin Jian says he will be busy, An Hao can understand.

”If that’s the case, then alright!”

”I’ll try my best.” Qin Jian unwillingly lets An Hao feel disappointed, ”If I can manage to find the time, I will naturally attend your graduation ceremony.”

”Okay.” An Hao agreed, ”But what is this mysterious unit mentioned for this exercise?”

”Not sure as of now.” Qin Jian patted her head, ”Why? You’ve never been interested in this matter before, why are you concerned now?”

”What’s wrong with caring about you?” An Hao rubbed her cheek against his shoulder and said, ”Actually, I often want to see what you’re like at work. They say serious men are the most handsome, and I’ve never seen you during a military drill.”

”Heh! You admire me that much?” Qin Jian felt quite happy hearing his wife say this, being admired by the woman he loves is a very happy thing.

”Yes! You’re my husband, who else would I admire if not you?” An Hao laughed.

”Alright. Enough of that, let’s go down and see if mom’s meal is ready? I’ve been so angry today, I can feel my stomach growling.” Qin Jian said, rubbing his flattened stomach.

”Oh? What could possibly make our Commander Qin angry?” An Hao asked teasingly.

”Let’s not talk about it. It’s all training-related!” Qin Jian waved his hand.

”Telling things halfway! Might as well have not said anything.” An Hao stared at him dissatisfied.

”It’s all about training. If we want to achieve remarkable results in this combined military exercise, we must double our efforts, it requires a lot of sweating... but the current training is not very ideal.”

”What’s there to be angry about? There’s still some time, and I believe even the worst team will become strong under your leadership.” An Hao said.

”Thanks for your faith, my wife! Go downstairs and check, I’ll play with our son for a bit.” Qin Jian urged An Hao to hurry down.

An Hao walked towards the door.

Suddenly, she remembered something: ”Right, has Lin Sheng returned to the team yet? Also, Mu Mian, have they found him?”

”No.” Qin Jian shook his head and sighed, it has been over two months since Lin Sheng left, and they have no news from him.

”Then... if Lin Sheng doesn’t come back, is it really going to be dismissal?”

Qin Jian nodded slowly and heavily.

”Then... maybe Lin Sheng and Mu Mian are in danger? Since you can’t find them, should we hand this matter over to the local government?”

”It’s not good to report it. You don’t need to worry about this for now! After this busy period, I will talk with Lin Sheng,” he had made a significant mistake, Qin Jian intended to help him, but his continued absence was also an issue.

With the military exercise impending, he couldn’t spare much energy to worry about this matter.

Compared to personal grievances, the honor of the nation and the collective is much more important.

”But, I am worried that something dangerous might happen to the two of them,” An Hao said.
