Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1452: Chapter 1452: The scale does not leave the weight, the husband does not leave the wife.

Ji Chuan called out the names according to the roster, and the first name was his own—Ji Chuan.

This time, the General Surgery medical team would be led by him.

For this support mission to the disaster area, he had pulled almost all the top doctors from the department! In the face of disaster, with the people subjected to extreme suffering, as military doctors, they could not stand idly by.

Given the perilous conditions in the disaster area and the severity of injuries among the disaster victims, it was natural to select the most skilled doctors to go, in hopes of saving more lives.

Perhaps, just one of these lives could salvage a family shattered by calamity.

After Ji Chuan made his announcement, he asked everyone to quickly pack their clothes. They would be leaving overnight.

An Hao had been quietly listening until Ji Chuan finished his arrangements, then she came over and asked him, ”Director Ji, you’re heading to the severely affected area, so is Teacher Yan also going?”

”Yes,” Ji Chuan nodded, his lips curling into a smile as he looked at An Hao, ”Seeing this grave expression on your face, are you worried about me, or about your Teacher Yan?”

On hearing this, An Hao glared fiercely at him, ”Director Ji, please, I’m a married woman. Don’t you think it’s inappropriate to jest like this?”

”Yes, indeed it’s inappropriate,” Ji Chuan chuckled, ”Especially if that jealous husband of yours heard it, who knows what he’d think! We’ve all seen how jealous he can get.”

”Seen what?” Just then, Yan Ye walked in through the door.

”We’ve witnessed the fearsome power of Commander Qin’s jealousy,” Ji Chuan joked.

”Enough. It’s no time to tease An Hao. We are leaving at nine tonight. Have you prepared everything? Communication is cut off over there, and the journey is long and arduous. Take as many medical supplies as possible,” Yan Ye said.

”Don’t worry. This isn’t my first time participating in a medical rescue,” Ji Chuan replied.

”It’s particularly cold there. If you can take an extra piece of clothing, do so. Don’t let it be like last time when you didn’t bring enough for yourself and ended up snatching mine,” Yan Ye frowned, recalling the past, ”You’re such a grown man, how can you always fail to take care of yourself like a child?”

”Me? Hehe, don’t I have you? Aren’t we inseparable like a pair of balancers on a scale?” Ji Chuan flashed a big, bright smile.

”Ugh... Are you guys planning to live together from now on?” An Hao was disgusted by Ji Chuan, feeling goosebumps all over.

”Hahaha. Good idea,” Ji Chuan laughed.

”Ugh.” Yan Ye was also truly disgusted, frowning as he spoke, ”I don’t want to talk to you for the rest of the day.”

Ji Chuan, smiling, stood up, ”Alright. Then I’ll leave and get ready. I’ll give you two some time to catch up.”

”Take care, no need to see me out.”

Once Ji Chuan had left, An Hao asked Yan Ye, ”Teacher Yan, where exactly are you guys heading this time?”

”It should be Lai City,” Yan Ye answered, then added, ”the severely affected area.”

An Hao vaguely remembered that Qin Jian had also left for the severely affected area and it had been several days without any news. She was quite worried.

”Teacher Yan, I have a request. I don’t know if you could grant it?” An Hao said.

”What request? Just say it. If I can help, I definitely will,” Yan Ye assured her, patting his chest.

”Qin Jian also went to the severely affected area. If you happen to see him, could you please take something to him for me?” An Hao pleaded.
