Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1270: Chapter 1270: This Time I’m Definitely Not Dealing with Him

Qin Jian realized he could no longer hide the truth from An Hao, so he decided to tell her what had happened.

After all, An Ping would be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, and the incident had already passed; informing her now was harmless.

”An Ping and Qin Fen had a fight, injuring his head, and he stayed in the hospital for ten days! But he’s fine now and will be discharged tomorrow. You don’t need to worry.”

”What? He stayed for ten days, and you all didn’t tell me?” An Hao burst out anxiously, ”Why did he fight with Qin Fen, and what was the reason?”

”It’s a minor issue. Don’t worry! I’ll handle all this,” Qin Jian assured An Hao.

”What do you mean a minor issue? I need to understand what the problem is between them. Who can stand this kind of frequent trouble?” An Hao said angrily, ”I can’t stand that Qin Fen anymore! He never lets anyone have peace! I have done everything I could for the Qin Family. If he does anything excessive, I won’t hesitate to use legal measures to protect An Family’s interests!”

”You shouldn’t worry about these things. Leave it to Qin Jian!” Zhang Yun absolutely didn’t want An Hao to get involved further.

The Qin Family’s troubles were overwhelming, infuriating just to hear about, let alone handle.

”I know, Mom!” An Hao knew that everyone was keeping it from her just to prevent her from getting upset, which could harm the baby, ”But thinking about it makes me feel suffocated.”

”I understand, truly! After all, it is your family members who have suffered; it is only natural you feel bad. But this time, you must listen to me, let’s leave it to Qin Jian, can you trust him?” Zhang Yun pleaded and cajoled An Hao.

Since everyone didn’t want her to worry and were concerned about her health, if she insisted on handling this matter, it could go against everyone’s good intentions.

Thus, An Hao decided not to interfere anymore and left it to Qin Jian to handle alone.

The next day, An Ping was discharged.

Back home, there were still a slew of frustrating issues waiting to be handled; when they were driving home, Qin Jian said to An Ping, ”You can go to the police station for help with this matter. What Qin Fen did was wrong, and he should pay for his actions! Whether it’s detention or imprisonment, this time I’ve decided not to intervene!”

An Ping had some concerns initially, but upon hearing Qin Jian’s words, he felt relieved, ”Brother-in-law, with your support, I’m confident to go ahead.”

Qin Jian nodded. He could no longer indulge Qin Fen. Over time, he was sure to cause serious trouble.

In situations where both parties were relatives, he could only side with the just party.

.........

Time flew, and soon the Dragon Boat Festival was approaching.

An Ping indeed took legal action to protect An Family’s garden; Qin Fen was sentenced to three months’ detention for fighting and had to compensate An Family for their losses to avoid civil liabilities.

Otherwise, he would have faced a more severe sentence involving prison time.

Because of this incident, Li Junping sought out Qin Jian repeatedly.

An Hao had also run into her twice, which was incredibly annoying, especially in the summer heat that only added to her irritation.

Seeing his wife stressed during her pregnancy, Qin Jian felt deeply distressed. After discussing with his family, he decided to take a couple of days off to take An Hao out for some relaxation.

It would also be a kind of excursion!

He had already found a beautifully scenic place, perfect for leisure and recuperation.

This time, he planned to stay with An Hao for a few more days.
