Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1017: Chapter 1017: There is an old saying, harmony brings wealth!

”Sure!” the sales clerk said dismissively, clattering the pumpkin seeds between her fluttering lips.

The director didn’t care about them at all; he was making good money and his clothes were selling, why would he need to scold anyone?

The aggressive attitude of the waitress angered An Hao; she turned around and really went to find the head of the sales department in his office.

She knocked on the door loudly, and a man’s voice came from inside, ”Come in.”

As soon as An Hao entered, she saw a short man sitting at a desk, frowning over a stack of reports, ”Are you the sales director?”

”Yes, I am! Who are you? Do you need something?” he looked up at An Hao, an impatient expression on his face.

No wonder the staff dared to act like this; even the attitude from the higher-ups wasn’t right!

An Hao cleared her throat and said, ”Of course, I do! I hope you will listen carefully; perhaps after you hear me out, you will find out why your store’s sales are so poor!”

”How do you know the sales are poor?” the director was surprised.

”It’s all written on your face!” An Hao pointed to the mirror hanging on the office wall, ”Take a good look at your face.”

”Okay, I got it! Just say what you have to say!” the director asked eagerly, the mall manager had spoken, if sales didn’t increase this month, he would be sent packing.

He wasn’t ready to retire just yet.

”It’s simple! Your store’s clothes are of good quality and reasonably priced, but the faces of your sales clerks are all frosty! Customers don’t get the respect they deserve here! They even have to tolerate your staff’s poor attitudes! Do you think any customer would like that? Just like your attitude towards me now, it’s very irritating!” An Hao pinpointed their problem clearly.

”You mean we should improve our attitude?” Were they, a state-owned enterprise, supposed to beg lowly for customers to shop there?

”Yes! Like the old saying goes, ’Courtesy is profitable!’ Even small street vendors understand this; how can you not? I think your sense of superiority is too strong! You need to correct your attitude! Give your customers a feeling of being warmly welcomed! I guarantee if the attitude improves, the income will surge within a month!” An Hao confidently told him, ”You need to learn how to pamper your customers; they’ll be happy to spend their money then.”

”That makes sense, that makes sense!” The sales director nodded hurriedly.

”Of course, it makes sense. It’s easy to talk about, but hard to do.”

”That’s for sure. So what do you suggest we do first?” asked the sales director.

”First, appease the mood of this customer! Let me have a satisfying shopping experience!” An Hao repeated her issue to the sales director, ”Tell me, how can you satisfy me? It was possible to sell two pieces of clothing, yet you managed to sell only one! Isn’t that excessive?”

”Let’s go! I’ll help you resolve this issue,” the sales director decided, determined to double his department’s performance during the New Year’s period.

When An Hao brought the leader back, Song Yueqin had already left with the clothes.

Fools would stand around waiting!

The sales clerk, sitting behind the counter drinking steaming tea and eating seeds, saw the director come in and quickly put down what she was holding: ”Is that the director?”

The sales director asked sternly, ”What happened just now? Why did the customer have to find me?”
