CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2161: Chapter 2169: No Need to Notify Her

”Okay.” Jane Sampson didn’t take these small matters to heart, so she smiled and nodded in agreement.

The director saw that Jane Sampson wasn’t angry or upset and breathed a sigh of relief. This matter, after all, was indeed a misunderstanding.

That girl went from being a replacement to a stand-in, and to be honest, she wasn’t very lucky.

He had found a replacement for Jane Sampson early on. Although it later turned into a stand-in role, it would be understandable if Jane Sampson felt uncomfortable. After all, how can anyone not have a bit of a temper?

However, the director knew Jane Sampson’s character well. When she said she didn’t mind, she truly didn’t mind; she wasn’t someone who would hide her displeasure in her heart.

”I’ve rearranged your script. If everything goes smoothly, you should be done filming in about a week. We’ve scheduled your scenes for the front, so you can finish early and rest,” the director said, noting that Jane Sampson looked well, but wasn’t certain of her physical condition.

”Thank you, Director.” Jane Sampson thanked him, feeling a bit embarrassed, as the whole crew had been taking care of her since she joined this film crew.

”There’s nothing worth thanking me for. That’s all I wanted to say. I still need to rush back to the film set. You and Mr. Black should rest well today and aim to be in good condition tomorrow.” After saying this, the director got up, smiled at James Black, and left James Carter’s room.

After the director left, Jane Sampson looked at James Carter and immediately felt heartache, ”Why have you lost so much weight?”

”Did you forget the later scenes?” James Carter explained, ”To ensure authenticity on camera, I’ve been losing weight recently and eating less. It’s been several months, so of course, I’ve lost weight. But rest assured, it’s just weight loss, and I’m still healthy; I go to the gym to exercise every day when I have time.”

”Don’t take on roles that require weight loss anymore; it’s too torturous.” No exaggeration, looking at James Carter now, he really looked like he could be blown away by the wind.

James Carter, who was already tall and wasn’t fat to begin with, now looked even taller and slimmer, like a bamboo stick.

James Carter acknowledged with a sound. He hadn’t planned to pursue a career as an actor; it was just that he decided to take on this drama because Jane Sampson was in it, and the director, his good friend, had repeatedly invited him.

So Jane Sampson’s request was something that James Carter agreed to without a second thought.

”Dad and Mom asked if you’d like to stay at home for one night after you’re done filming? Your room in the house is ready,” James Carter asked Jane Sampson. ”Grandpa and Grandma also really want to see you.”

Jane Sampson turned her head towards James Black to see that he was silent and just looking at her. She knew he meant for her to make the decision herself.

”Alright, then both James and I will go back,” Jane Sampson agreed with a nod.

James Black suddenly spoke, adding, ”There’s no need to inform Jillian Carter when we go back.”

”Sure.” James Carter hadn’t planned to notify Jillian in the first place.

That day, Jillian Carter caused quite a scene at home. Although she later returned to apologize and explained the reasons, James Carter knew well that Jillian didn’t like Jane Sampson.

So, James Carter agreed that when Jane Sampson goes back, Jillian should avoid it to prevent her from making sharp remarks at Jane Sampson—something Jane Sampson shouldn’t have to endure when she rarely visits home.
