CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2160: Chapter 2168: New Stand-In

Sleeping so deeply, I forgot she went out early this morning to catch the plane. After being jolted awake, she suddenly opened her eyes, ”James Black, is it an earthquake?”

The flight attendant next to her laughed.

”The plane has landed, Mrs. Piggy.” James Black chuckled, ”How come you’re sleeping so much today?”

”Getting up too early, I’m not used to it.” Jane Sampson stretched lazily, rubbed her face, and felt a bit more awake.

Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money arrived a day earlier than us, so when Jane Sampson and James Black took their luggage out, the driver had already been waiting with Coco Edwards and the others in the parking lot for quite a while.

Jane Sampson’s return to the film crew was a secret this time, and so far, no one knows she’s rejoined the crew so soon, so along the way, no one recognized Jane Sampson.

The group smoothly left the airport and reached the hotel.

This was more than just a reunion; it was as if they had been through life and death.

The director knew Jane Sampson had arrived, and he specially hurried back from the film set to visit her at the hotel.

James Carter was already at the hotel, and once Jane Sampson arrived, they freshened up a bit, and the four of them went to meet in James Carter’s room.

”Brother.”

Since there was no one else in the room, Jane Sampson called James Carter ”Brother” right away.

This crisp ”Brother” made James Carter smile broadly.

”After that long flight, your spirit is still so good? Speaking so full of energy.” James Carter laughed, ”I was worried you would be worn out after the flight.”

”Slept all the way.” James Black didn’t let Jane Sampson off easily, ”Slept from the moment she left home to the airport, boarding the plane, slept until she got off, completely muddled, even thought she was at home.”

”You annoy me!” Jane Sampson stomped her foot and lightly pushed James Black, who was standing behind her.

”Sleeping is good, if you’re well-rested, it won’t affect tomorrow’s filming.” The director praised Jane Sampson, ”Being able to sleep anywhere, any time, is a special skill an actor should have.”

After speaking, the director showed concern for Jane Sampson’s health, as he was also one of the first in the Black Family to know Jane Sampson was okay. The details he knew weren’t much.

But from some photos previously disclosed by the police, he could gather that Jane Sampson had been through hardships.

”Nothing serious, just my arm.” Jane Sampson took off her coat, revealing the short sleeves underneath, ”Director, what should I do about these scars on my arm?”

”Let the makeup artist cover them as much as possible, then fix it during post-production. Wear long sleeves when necessary, and for parts requiring close-ups of the arm, use a stand-in.” The director truly felt for Jane Sampson, ”From the photos taken by the police back then, looking at the fingers, I knew they were yours. I didn’t expect you to have gone through so much hardship.”

”It’s all in the past now. These scars don’t hurt anymore.” Jane Sampson stood there smiling, completely carefree, ”Being able to sit here and talk with everyone, I feel incredibly lucky.”

”By the way, did James Carter already mention Stella Carter to you?” The director asked, ”She resembles you a bit. At the time, not knowing you were still alive, wanting to finish shooting the drama, we found her to prepare to take over and finish filming. Later, she joined the film crew, and only after did I learn about your situation.”

The director sounded a bit guilty, ”But she’s a newcomer and recently hasn’t received other work. I owed a favor to a classmate of mine, who insisted on placing her here with me, so I kept her. It happened that your previous stand-in wasn’t available, so Stella Carter stayed on as your stand-in.”
