CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1795: Chapter 1803: I’ll Definitely Make Up for It

James Black knew Jane Sampson was coming back today, so after dinner, he calculated the time and went to the airport to personally pick her up.

When the airplane landed, Jane Sampson was still a bit tired, but once off the airplane, she turned on her mobile phone and received a text message from James Black, knowing he was already waiting for her at the exit. Jane immediately felt revitalized.

”James is already waiting at the doorway.” Jane couldn’t help but quicken her pace a little, but then immediately slowed down because she remembered she was with James Carter.

”Almost a month without seeing him, do you miss him?” James Carter teased Jane with a smile in his voice.

”Yeah, I really do,” Jane admitted, nodding, and curiously asked, ”Mr. Carter, when you were in a relationship before, and didn’t see your girlfriend for a month, did you miss her a lot?”

Jane was genuinely curious because it had been more than a year since she knew James Carter, and she hadn’t seen any other woman by his side.

It was as if James Carter’s love life had been blank for a long time.

Jane vaguely knew that James Carter and Mandy Forest had been together before.

But now, Mandy Forest was mostly in a semi-retired state, as people in the circle said Mandy was planning to move behind the scenes.

James Carter was stunned for a few seconds by Jane’s question, then slowly nodded, ”Yes.”

Jane’s question suddenly made him think of his once passionate self.

At that time, when he missed someone, he was also crazy enough to take an airplane four days out of a week.

He once missed someone so much that he wished he could keep her by his side, not letting her be too far from him.

But now, thinking back, these things seemed so distant from him.

So distant, to an unreachable degree.

The airplane landing was very late, and at this time, the airport exit wasn’t crowded. Jane immediately spotted James Black standing there. His eyes were always following her figure, clearly already seeing her.

”James~” Seeing him, Jane could no longer hold back. She left James Carter and sprinted towards the exit where James Black was.

James stood there, smiling as he opened his arms wide waiting for her to dash into his embrace and then steadily held her.

”I’m back~”

The woman in his arms held him, her happy eyes curved into crescents, and her words ”I’m back” melted into his heart.

”I came back with Mr. Carter, tomorrow night, Mr. Carter and I will attend an event together.” Jane nuzzled her head in James Black’s arms, ”Did you wait long? The airplane was half an hour late~”

”No.” James replied, reaching out to gently rub Jane’s head, ”Didn’t you eat well? You look a bit thinner.”

”I tried hard, but I still lost two pounds.” Jane sighed, ”I ate well every day, but when I just got there, I had a few days of adjusting to the water and soil, had some belly issues, and was always on medicine. I got better later, and that’s why I lost weight. After I finish filming this drama, I’ll rest for a month and surely gain it back.”

Parting is sweet when reunited.

After a month apart, Jane Sampson didn’t want to let go of James Black at this moment, nor did she want to upset him.

Hearing him say she’s thinner, she had to carefully explain, afraid he wouldn’t be happy.

”Mm.” James nodded, holding Jane in his arms, his eyes shifting to the approaching James Carter. He patted Jane’s shoulder before saying to James Carter, ”Want to grab a late-night snack together before heading back?”
