Chapter 1762: Chapter 1770: New Drama

This year, he was on her mind, so even several meters apart, she could recognize him at a glance.

”Finishing up the filming, can you rest for a few days?” James Black lightly pinched Jane Sampson’s cheek. Jane Sampson’s drinking capacity was almost nonexistent; after two glasses, her temper flared, her face turned red, and she felt a bit hot.

”Just this one week. Next Monday, I have to go to southland university for anti-drug publicity, visiting three universities consecutively. I’ll rest for two days after returning, then it’s off to the new drama crew.” Jane Sampson said, ”I’m going to be busy again.”

”Hmm.” James Black furrowed his eyebrows. He remembered that the shooting location of Jane Sampson’s new drama was in a small town in the southland. Once she entered the film crew, who knows how long it would be before she could return to Capital Province.

Jane Sampson was completely unaware that James Black was furrowing his eyebrows, troubled about not being able to see her after she enters the film crew. She sat there, urging James Black to drive while happily chatting with him about the new drama.

”The new drama is called ’The Sound and Shadow,’ an art film. Compared to the first role I played, it’s a role with even more restrained emotions and feelings. When I got the script, I thought it was challenging,” Jane Sampson said, a little excited. ”It’s the first time I’m playing a blind person. During these few days when I had nothing to do in the film crew, I tried walking a few laps in the room with my eyes closed and found that not being able to see is really a painful thing for me.”

The female lead that Jane Sampson is about to play is a girl from a small town who went blind due to an accident.

On the other hand, the male lead played by James Carter is a young genius musician suffering from a severe illness, somewhat self-destructive. After discovering his terminal illness, he gives up treatment, choosing to spend his last days in a small town.

In the house he stays in at the small town, next door lives the blind girl.

Although the girl became blind due to an accident, she never gave up her love for music. The male lead can hear the piano sound from next door at home every day.

He began to notice next door because of the piano sound that played non-stop for a whole day.

Then, he learned from the grandma downstairs that the one playing the piano is a poor blind girl, sparking his curiosity and desire to meet and get to know his neighbor for the first time.

”Mr. Carter told me that he has also invited many teachers for guidance for this drama. He said he’s even more nervous than I am,” Jane Sampson softly laughed, ”Seeing Mr. Carter so nervous, I can’t quite bring myself to tell him that I’m also afraid of not being able to play this blind girl well.”

”What is difficult for others is not difficult for you,” James Black had complete trust in Jane Sampson, maintaining a mysterious self-confidence for his own people.

With such praise from James Black, Jane Sampson seemed to gain a little more confidence.

”After going back, I’ll try getting used to the feeling of not seeing by closing my eyes. You have to watch out for me, and don’t let me bump into stuff,” Jane Sampson said, ”Without someone I completely trust, I really feel like taking a step forward blindly is extremely difficult.”

Saying this, Jane Sampson rubbed her eyes, ”However, through this attempt, I’ve sworn that I will never stay up late to play games again. I should take good care of my eyes.”

James Black didn’t quite believe the vow Jane Sampson made. Without him next to her watching personally, it would be difficult for her not to stay up late every day. But seeing her say it happily, James Black refrained from pouring cold water on her enthusiasm at this moment.
