CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1427: Chapter 1435 Temporarily Not Public

The sentence that followed wasn’t spoken to Rock Bell over the phone, but to James Black seated beside her.

James Black sat next to her while she was on the phone with Rock Bell, so whatever Rock Bell said, James must have heard it loud and clear.

”Hmm,” James did not show any signs of relaxing his furrowed brows, but he still responded to Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson quietly observed James’s expression, feeling somewhat perplexed.

With that look on his face, could she expect to have an easy time after today, or would tomorrow be troublesome?

”Right, didn’t Mr. Carter mention to you that he took a movie role? Honestly, I was quite surprised, and it’s unexpected that James Carter would take part in a drama, jumping straight in as the male lead and your on-screen lover. I’m super excited, and not to mention your fans and the audience, the film crew has really scored big,” Rock Bell said happily, ”Jane, Jane, I’ve met countless people in my life, and I’ve never seen an artist with as much luck as you.”

Signing on for this movie means it’s Jane’s first lead role in a film. Unexpectedly, James Carter would play the male lead—a huge publicity point and something for Jane to be proud of.

Although she’s never seen James Carter act, given his personality and approach to life, he definitely wouldn’t have accepted the role if he wasn’t confident he could play it well.

James Carter isn’t the type to change his career path for money, unless the male lead role itself is very appealing to him.

But coincidentally, the male lead in this drama is an artist incapacitated by his actions.

”Mr. Carter never mentioned this to me, so I have no idea,” Jane responded morosely. ”I’ve been spending a lot of time with Mr. Carter recently, and I haven’t noticed anyone from the film crew getting in touch with him either.”

”The director is one of Mr. Carter’s seniors from university,” Rock Bell consoled Jane, ”It’s probably not yet convenient to discuss these matters further.”

Jane is not one to get hung up on trivial matters; James Carter getting a role is beneficial for his future career and Jane feels happy for him.

”Also, about you and James, I know you’ve been wanting to go public with your marriage, but no netizens believe it. I feel quite sorry for your Gary Black, but...”

Rock Bell then shifted the topic, ”With your relationship with James Carter now a hot topic on the internet, perhaps for the sake of this drama, it’s best not to make your relationship with James public before the drama’s broadcast to avoid any impact.”

Jane secretly sighed inside, then spoke up and agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Jane looked at James and chuckled twice, stretching out her hand to clutch his wrist: ”You heard it all; so many coincidences, all because of work, so, I guess you’ll just have to bear with it for a while.”

”Are there intimate scenes?” James was more concerned about Jane and James Carter playing the leads and having romantic scenes, ”What kind of movie is it?”

”An art film aiming for international awards, where the female lead is a blind female photographer due to an accident. For the intimate scenes, there will be kissing scenes, but they will use position substitution, not actual kissing.”

After all, since the beginning of her career, Jane’s intimate scenes were strictly limited by James, with kissing scenes always reliant on position substitution, a requirement that Rock Bell made sure to clarify with the film crew before accepting any roles.
