CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1426: Chapter 1434: James Carter Takes a Drama Role

Knowing that James Black wouldn’t lose his temper, Jane Sampson’s courage climbed up a notch. She stood up, giggled at James Black with a smile, ran over, tiptoed, and kissed him on the face, then apologized with a laugh, ”I was afraid you would get angry last night, so I didn’t dare to show you. But it’s the New Year, getting angry would really kill the festive mood, right?”

James Black gave a noncommittal hum. In fact, upon waking up this morning and seeing those messages on his phone twitter, he knew exactly what Jane Sampson’s guilty demeanor before sleep last night was all about.

No wonder she was extra affectionate last night.

”I thought that by this morning, these hot topics would be suppressed, but instead, they’ve escalated.” Jane Sampson’s expression was very innocent, ”I’ll ask Sister Tin about it right now.”

Having said that, Jane Sampson pulled James Black to sit down on the sofa and then made a phone call to Rock Bell.

Although Jane Sampson always acted carefree in front of James Black, she could understand why he would be upset upon seeing those messages on twitter.

It’s just like Peter Gingery said, even the iron tree can produce jealousy.

Especially when she has repeatedly declared she’s married but no one believes her, that person’s jealousy is probably only going to grow.

It’s like that live streaming incident before. Jane Sampson later made it clear on twitter that the hand was not Peter Gingery’s, but her husband’s, but her fans made fun of her, calling her delusional.

At that time, Jane Sampson saw the word ”delusional” and was simply baffled.

How is having a husband delusional?

Why does not a single person believe her sincere words on the entire internet?

This time even the husband’s hand was shown, but still, nobody believes it.

Once the phone connected, Rock Bell’s voice came through congratulating, ”Little Jane, Happy New Year, you’ve started the year with good luck. On the first day of the New Year, you and James Carter are the hottest topic on the internet, nobody can top your fame. Since last night, since you got off the stage, whether it’s twitter or various news browsing apps, everywhere is filled with your news.”

”...” Jane Sampson coughed softly, ”Sister Tin, I thought you would suppress this news.”

”James Carter’s Studio hasn’t made a statement, so why should we be in such a rush to suppress the hot topic? This early morning I contacted James Carter’s Studio to ask about the situation, and they said that if you’re okay with it, they won’t suppress this trending topic and will let the netizens continue to pay attention to you both.”

”Mr. Carter is aware of this as well?” Jane Sampson was somewhat surprised, since James Carter has always been low-key since his debut and is not somebody who likes to create buzz.

”Your Mr. Carter didn’t oppose because it wouldn’t make a difference even if he did,” Rock Bell laughed happily. ”He accepted the male lead role in that movie, and you will be partnering with your Mr. Carter.”

What’s most important is that Jane Sampson is almost confirmed for the female lead, James Carter as the male lead, and the two will have a romantic plot in the movie. In the movie script, they play lovers, so this internet-wide topic came as a pleasant surprise to the film crew.

Last night past midnight, the movie’s director contacted both companies, suggesting that both should not rush to clarify but can wait until after the early movie publicity to see how to handle the situation.

That is why Jane Sampson woke up to find that her wish for the topic to be removed didn’t come true; instead, it was seen by James Black.

”...” Jane Sampson looked helplessly over at James Black, ”Did you hear all that?”
