CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 795: Chapter 803: Just Let Her Do What She Wants

On the road, Jane heard from her grandparents that her brother-in-law had given her sister 999 roses when they were outdoors, and Bright Sampton thought that Jane Sampson was just fabricating stories to entertain the elderly.

Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton had brought a lot of good stuff from the countryside, including their own free-range eggs and home-grown vegetables, filling up the entire refrigerator.

While Jane Sampson and Granny Sampton were busy in the kitchen, Bright Sampton was causing a ruckus, making a mess in the kitchen, which was filled with Jane Sampson’s complaints about Bright Sampton and Granny Sampton’s laughter.

Grandpa Sampton and James Black sat in the living room brewing tea, the tea leaves provided by Alexander Forest to James Black.

”Your grandfather would definitely like these tea leaves. Speaking of which, it’s been a long time since Sampson’s grandma and I have seen your grandfather. After our meal, let’s take a trip to the Black Family’s old mansion. You’ve returned, so we should visit the old mansion.” Grandpa Sampton said.

”Mm.” James Black nodded, ”We should make a trip there, the old man must have known about my injury already, he just didn’t ask since I didn’t mention it.”

”Absolutely, I know, and he surely must know too.” Grandpa Sampton thought with a smirk, Elder Black, even better than him at holding back, hasn’t asked a single question till today.

”By the way, when are you returning to the guard team?” Grandpa Sampton turned his head towards the kitchen, then said, ”With your hand being inconvenient, why don’t you let Sampson put aside her work for now and stay at the guard team to take care of you for a few days?”

Hearing Grandpa Sampton’s words, James Black’s eyes flickered slightly.

”I have to return to the guard team tomorrow, and she already has plans scheduled for the next few days, no need.” James Black thought that if he really sent her to the guard team now, she might be unhappy.

Although, Grandpa Sampton’s words were rather appealing to him.

”This lass, thankfully she married you, you indulge her like this.” While Grandpa Sampton said this, his heart was very pleased.

Back then, when Jane Sampson said she wanted to become an actor, Grandpa Sampton knew, her father, also her dad, was furious. At that time, he was also worried that Jane Sampson’s rebellious request might cause the Black Family to pressure her too.

Unexpectedly, the first one to stand up for Jane Sampson was James Black, her husband, who seemed even more rigid than Elder Black.

Nowadays, seeing almost every post in Jane Sampson’s Moments is related to James Black, Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton felt much more at ease.

It seems that their decision to let Jane Sampson marry James Black was the right one.

Back then, the elderly couple thought since James Black was responsible and had a steady temperament, Jane Sampson marrying him would mean a stable life, without worrying about messy family issues.

And being well-acquainted with the Black Family, especially that Elder Black liked Jane Sampson, marrying into the family meant Jane Sampson wouldn’t have to worry about anyone in her husband’s family disliking her.

However, looking at it now, Jane Sampson’s marriage to James Black has turned out even better than Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton had originally expected. There couldn’t be a more reassuring marriage for the elders, where the husband is willing to pamper his wife.

After the meal, the group set off for the Black Family’s old mansion, the car trunk still packed with many items, including the specialty souvenirs Jane Sampson brought for the Black Family’s seniors, as well as those brought by Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton.

When the group arrived, Elder Black, having just finished his lunch break and about to look for someone to play chess with, stepped into the courtyard and upon seeing the visitors, immediately cast aside his plans of playing chess.
