CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 295: Chapter 303: Changed to a New Lipstick

”I don’t like the smell of smoke, so if you see me smoking, don’t come over here,” James Black patted Jane Sampson’s head and advised her.

”It’s just for a moment, it’s okay, the wind on the balcony is strong, it disperses quickly,” Jane said, moving closer to James and deliberately shaking her head and pursing her lips in front of him.

James glanced at Jane’s face, said nothing, and turned to grab the car keys and wallet.

She didn’t wear makeup today, but she did put on lipstick.

Hmm, I wonder what D’s prosperity color tastes like.

Jane saw that James had glanced at her and then turned away without saying anything. She pouted, huffed softly to show her displeasure, and after he got his stuff, she moved closer to him again.

Probably annoyed that she was blocking his view when changing shoes, James simply picked up Jane and moved her behind him.

Jane, feeling indignantly courageous, stepped on James’s shoe to prevent him from changing shoes.

”If you have something to say, just say it.” Holding Jane around the waist, James gently lifted her up and quickly bent down to put on his shoes.

”Really blind!”

Jane was extremely annoyed, slapping on James’s arm that was holding her, ”Put me down!”

This was precisely Jane’s indescribable mood.

Frustration.

It’s like having a burning topic in her heart that she wanted to discuss with someone, desperately signaling for that person to bring up the topic, so she could continue it.

But alas, after giving all the notifications she could, she realized, oh, the other person was just a blockhead.

James didn’t know what Jane was fussing about, but at least he knew she was annoyed.

Once he had his shoes on, James saw Jane standing there glaring at him and he asked, ”What’s wrong?”

What’s wrong?

What to do?

So irritating!

Jane intended to stand with her hands on her hips in anger, one hand did the job, but...

Her right hand moved a bit and, oops, felt a twinge of awkward pain.

”James Black,” Jane called him seriously and then, emphasizing every word like a newscaster, asked, ”Didn’t you notice I changed my lipstick today? I just opened and used this new lipstick this morning, it’s a new color!”

James’s expression clearly stumbled for a moment.

Because, he really hadn’t noticed.

Or rather, he noticed that Jane had put on lipstick, but he didn’t realize it was different from the D’s prosperity color he’d seen in her purse yesterday.

So she had been fussing, jumping around like a monkey just to make him notice her new lipstick?

James couldn’t help but find it a little amusing, but was also a bit exasperated.

Why didn’t she just stop him and say, ”James, look, I’m wearing new lipstick today, isn’t it pretty?”

James thought that even if he couldn’t tell the difference, he knew to compliment her anyway.

So, now, is it still okay to say it looks good?

So?

Shall we try?

Thinking this, James indeed said it out loud.

”Yeah, it looks good.”

After his response, James observed Jane’s expression. She just giggled and pouted her lips, ”I’m naturally beautiful, I know it’s pretty without you saying!”

”...” James thought, should he ask Alexander what he should say to get Jane in a good mood at times like these?

But fortunately, James could tell that Jane wasn’t upset by his stiff reply. As they left the house, she didn’t pull away when he took her hand, nor did she resist. In the elevator, holding her hand, she narcissistically admired herself in the elevator’s mirror, her mood quite good.
