Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 3057: Chapter 3055: Feng Did a Good Job Training

But right now what we’re facing is a lack of funds, and that’s a real headache.

”How about you ask Qin Xue and them? After all, what they’re doing needs a huge amount of money. We don’t have the channels to get that kind of cash together, so you could ask if they have any money on hand, even just to lend you some for an emergency. Don’t you think?” Cloud remembered they’d wanted to invest before, so they should have some money in hand.

”Let’s not go there. I’ll think of something. Don’t tell her. As long as I can figure out a way, that’s enough. So if we can make it work, we’ll do it properly; if we can’t, we’ll just have to think of something else.” Nangong Beiying really wasn’t planning to go to them just because she was short on funds.

Chu Molin had only just set up his studio and had already spent quite a bit. Qin Xue was still scraping money together to open a hospital. That kind of pressure isn’t something the average person can bear.

So it’s not that she’s thinking wrong, it’s that she can’t pile more burden onto them.

”But if you don’t, how are you going to manage this? I’ll go ask Qing Teng, see if she has any ideas.” Cloud thought for a moment and decided it was better to check with Qing Teng first. After all, this involved the clan too; she might have some other solution up her sleeve.

”Okay, let’s figure something out together.” This time Nangong Beiying didn’t object, because Qing Teng really should be involved in brainstorming.

It’s just, how was she supposed to bring it up? If Qing Teng didn’t have any way either, then their only option would be to mortgage the group for a loan, because besides that there really wasn’t any other way.

Nangong Beiying nodded. For things like this, everyone has to put their heads together.

”Miss, why are you still at work? You shouldn’t be working overtime anymore.” Cloud saw her big belly and was genuinely worried. She was about to give birth and still pushing herself so hard—was she planning to have the baby right here on the job?

”Xuexue fell asleep, so I didn’t wake her. Let her sleep for now. I know my limits, don’t worry about me. You haven’t eaten yet, have you? Let’s go get something together. I asked Rain to sort it out; by the time we get over there we should be able to eat.” It was only because it was mealtime that Nangong Beiying had sent her. As for this whole matter, there was no way to explain it clearly in a short stretch; better to see how things played out and then decide.

”Okay.” These days Cloud basically did whatever Nangong Beiying said, obeying her without question, no longer the cold, aloof person she’d been when they first met.

”Looks like Feng’s training worked—you’ve changed this much this fast. I can just imagine what kind of state you’re in now. Keep it up, work hard, and try to have a baby as soon as you can. Then your life will be perfect.” Nangong Beiying glanced at Cloud, teasing her.

”We agreed not to have children.” Cloud had never said that getting married automatically meant having kids.

In their minds, as long as they had each other, that was enough. Their duty was to protect Nangong Beiying and look after her safety. So how could they have children?

Whether there was danger was one thing; but once a child was born, who would raise it? Or if she got pregnant and then ran into some upsetting situation, what were they supposed to do—drop everything, or drag the child along while they protected Nangong Beiying?

At that point, they wouldn’t just fail to protect Nangong Beiying; they wouldn’t even be able to guarantee their own safety, much less the child’s.

So the best choice was not to have any from the start. By her earlier thinking, she hadn’t intended to marry or have children at all.

Who knew Feng would get Miss involved from that side, leaving her no choice but to go along with it.

”Don’t overthink it. Come on, let’s go eat. I understand how you two see it. It’s just that for a woman, going through life without a child by her side can be truly lonely.” Nangong Beiying tried to persuade Cloud.
