Chapter 341: Chapter 186: Surprise! The First Legendary Profession Panel Prompt! (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

“Now the creature’s length has surpassed ten meters, reaching twelve meters. As for combat power, I’m afraid only a Great Knight could take it down,” Has sighed, seemingly regretful that at the time, he couldn’t seize the opportunity to kill the creature before its sea beast transformation.

Originally, Rein was just listening to a story. After all, such incidents were not rare, and the Empire had specific protocols to deal with them. But when he heard that the creature’s length was over ten meters, Rein’s eyes gleamed!

Because didn’t that mean this Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers, barely qualified as a gigantic creature?

In that case, perhaps he could acquire an additional ‘beast essence’.

Thus, Rein asked with interest, “Does the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers have any special moves?”

“Eh? Do you want to try to kill the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers? No, no! Although you’re a bit stronger than me, compared to the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers, there’s still a huge difference!”

“Uhh… I just want to understand more, I’m still quite unfamiliar with these ferocious sea beasts,” Rein shrugged and asked ‘kindly’.

“Haha, that’s no problem! I thought you wanted to attempt to kill the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers. Don’t even try it!”

“Sheriff Benhad also retired from the Imperial Navy, possessing the strength of a seasoned knight, but he still got seriously injured,” Has solemnly warned.

“The most troublesome thing about this Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers is its powerful defensive capability, especially its shell, which is harder than steel!”

“Now, after undergoing metamorphosis, the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers can also cast an additional earthy-yellow shield, further enhancing its defensive power! When my knight’s longsword hacked at it, it couldn’t make a scratch!”

“Moreover, the Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers itself is extremely strong and fast. Luckily, we had brought several giant crossbows with us. Otherwise, we might not have been able to come back. We even lost two men during the retreat.”

As Has narrated, his face still seemed to bear traces of shock.

Rein nodded as he listened. This kind of strong defense was indeed a bit tricky to deal with.

However… for him, it probably wouldn’t be too big of a problem.

Rein patted the pig-head hammer on his back.

Dinner time.

Rein met Has’s parents. Has’s father was a portly middle-aged man with a smile always lingering on his face, the head cook at the nearby Campas Manor.

Has’s mother, on the other hand, ran a bakery, with a kind face and a somewhat plump figure, likely due to years of kneading dough, requiring a sturdy ‘base’ for the task.

Both parents spent their years dealing with ‘food’!

No wonder a commoner’s family could raise someone of Has’s stature. Rein thought to himself.

Upon meeting Rein, and learning he was a friend made by Has during the aristocratic enrollment examination, they greeted Rein with great enthusiasm.

The dinner ended in a warm and cheerful atmosphere, and Rein got to taste the stewed giant spike salmon that Has had been raving about!

A twenty-plus pound salmon seasoned with garlic, basil, and sage, stewed for two hours: the aroma and flavor were irresistible!

“How is it, Rein? The giant spike salmon is delicious, right?”

“It’s indeed very delicious!”

“Unfortunately, the fishing boats dare not go out to sea recently. You should know, these days are the best for catching giant spike salmon,” Has sighed, seemingly reminded of something.

“Is it because of that Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers?”

“Yes, it lurks in the narrow channel leading in and out of the port. None of the fishermen are willing to risk their lives to go out to sea,”

“After that incident, Sheriff Benhad said that because the whole of Rosby County has been troublesome lately, it might take a few more days for the County Town to send a team over,”

So that was it. No wonder the townspeople all looked so worried; the town was a fishing port, with most residents involved in the fishing industry.

“Don’t worry! Has, the Empire’s borders are vast, and there are many masters. Maybe some passing master will casually slay that Ironback Turtle with Scales and Whiskers,” Rein said with a smile, trying to offer some reassurance.
