Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 592: Chapter 590: It’s Not Allowed to Film That Thing!

Lu Xiaobu’s mind was brimming with ideas that just wouldn’t stop coming.

Some hack writers who always chased inspiration—it was like child’s play for him!

”Young Master Bu, were you looking for me?”

Upon hearing Lu Xiaobu’s summons, Chen Feiyang rushed over immediately to ask.

”Yeah, I need you. Can you direct TV dramas?!”

Lu Xiaobu inquired.

”No problem, what genre?”

Chen Feiyang assured confidently, thumping his chest.

Lu Xiaobu’s mind began to explode!

Genre? Shape? What shape? The shape of love? Heart-shaped? Exciting? R-rated?

”Oh, R-rated.” Lu Xiaobu nodded.

”Pfft!”

Chen Feiyang spurted out a mouthful of old blood: ”Young Master, filming that stuff is not allowed!”

”No, no, not that!” Lu Xiaobu shook his head: ”Stop talking to me, I’m frustrated!”

”System, show yourself, when is this side effect going to end?!” Lu Xiaobu asked, in pain: ”Also, give me the script for Bright Sword!”

”Side effect? This isn’t a side effect!” the system replied, exasperated.

”Bullshit, if this isn’t a side effect, then why are my thoughts so scattered?”

Lu Xiaobu said, unconvinced.

”Accessing the micro just makes your thoughts faster, that’s all. The problem of lacking focus is your own, don’t blame it on accessing the micro!”

”It’s like you were a tractor that liked to swerve on the road, suddenly equipped with a jet engine!”

”You used to drift and draw S’s because of the slow speed, so you didn’t notice much. But now it’s different, so you’re drifting dramatically!”

The system explained to Lu Xiaobu.

”So what do I do?! This has to be solved! I can’t keep drifting like this!”

Lu Xiaobu said helplessly.

”You’ll get used to it. I suggest you try to focus on one thing at a time. Concentrate! It’ll get better over time!”

The system offered a solution.

”Alright then, I’ll focus on filming Bright Sword.”

Lu Xiaobu sighed.

He hated having to concentrate.

But there was no other way, it had to be done!

He had originally planned to have Chen Feiyang direct it, but it looked like now he had to take matters into his own hands!

Once decided, just do it!

First stop, Emperor Electric.

Principal Li: ”Xiaobu, what brings you here? Did you sort out the online issue?”

Lu Xiaobu: ”Forget that for now, I want to make a TV drama, Principal Li, give me some support! Find me a few veteran actors!”

”Veteran actors?” Principal Li frowned: ”Let me think.”

He knew that Lu Xiaobu did not make requests lightly, so it must be important if he was asking now. He had to recommend the best.

However, with Lu Xiaobu’s current situation, there were practically no one bold enough to collaborate with him given the risk!

After all, if Lu Xiaobu ran into trouble, they could be implicated too!

Moreover, Lu Xiaobu was currently up against the Lin Family!

Who would dare to offend the Lin Family?!

Suddenly, an idea struck him: ”I’ve got it, there actually is a suitable candidate!”

”Who?” Lu Xiaobu asked immediately.

”There are a few people who would definitely agree to work with you, but on the condition that you help lift their ban!”

Principal Li stood up and declared.

”Are you saying that those people are blacklisted actors?”

Lu Xiaobu immediately caught on!

”Yes.” Principal Li nodded: ”As long as you help lift their bans, they will definitely be willing to work for you!”

”What’s the reason for being blacklisted? If it’s for something like drug use, then forget it!”

Lu Xiaobu continued: ”No matter how good their acting is, I don’t want those kinds of actors.”

”It’s not that. They are all true-to-life veteran actors, old actors. How could they do such things!”

Principal Li immediately waved his hand and then paced around the room as he explained what had happened back then: ”Back in the day, several of these veteran actors starred in a TV drama. Originally, it was meant to be thirty episodes, but it turned into thirty-three episodes. They felt this was unethical, so they jointly reported the drama!”

”That sounds like misconduct! Eventually, they got blacklisted by twenty-three major film companies!”

”It’s said that their lives aren’t going that well now either! Alas!”

At the end of his talk, Principal Li heaved a deep sigh: ”It’s such a shame!”

”Alright, it’s them. Tell me, I’ll go find them!” Lu Xiaobu made the decision on the spot.

Whether their images fit or not, we’ll see later, but Lu Xiaobu really admires their integrity!

Even if they truly don’t fit, he still feels these upright veterans deserve a place at the table!
