Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 384: Chapter 383: Are You Ready to Kneel Down and Call Me Daddy? [Third Update, Extra for 20K Recommendation Tickets]

This evil trend hasn’t reached the ears of the team behind ”The Voice” who are busy filming.

What? You say people are busy, Lu Xiaobu always has some time, right?

Yes, he does have time.

But, doesn’t he have to wait and see the dumbfounded expressions of the four judges when they see those oddities?

He has been looking forward to it for a long time.

However, their busyness and lack of attention were interpreted as cowardice!

In this world, everything moves towards profit!

Some people started making moves.

Of course, this is because they don’t understand the variety show circle of Lu Xiaobu. If it were the business circle, haha!

Suddenly, a program leader from a station in the north burst out, tearing up his pretense without warning:

”The behavior of The Voice inflating joining fees, I can only describe as despicable. It has seriously affected the normal operation of other program teams in the industry!”

”Just now, a celebrity who verbally agreed to join our reality show last month withdrew, and I won’t say who it is.”

”The celebrity said: ’Chen Wen and Fang Li get ten million, I only get seven million? Sorry, I can’t justify it.’”

”Listen to this statement, what should I say?”

”Does everyone treat money like Lu Xiaobu now?!”

The joining fees of the judges on ”The Voice” were exposed long ago.

It wasn’t promoted by the program.

The contracts were supposed to be confidential, known only internally at Shimen TV Station, but somehow it got leaked.

Well, actually, everyone probably has a guess who it might be.

From this person’s words, it’s clear that the celebrity who withdrew is about as popular as Chen Guang and Fan Wenli.

Possibly even more popular than Chen Guang and his wife, but the joining fee was only a bit more than half of theirs.

Actually, if you think about it from another perspective, it’s natural to understand the celebrity’s feelings of injustice.

The entertainment industry is inherently chaotic, and it’s normal for celebrities to compete and compare with each other!

No need to say more.

Do you remember the incident at the Golden Fire Award, where two young celebrities, just to outdo each other, wouldn’t enter the car park first?

Since such trivial matters can be grounds for competition, what about joining fees that involve money?!

They are all of the same nature!

In short, why should I be worse than others?

These issues aren’t just about vanity, they relate to many problems.

For example, once the joining fee is made public, that celebrity will definitely also lose face.

Some fans might feel that you’re past your prime, not up to the mark anymore.

This leads to a vicious cycle.

So, it’s simply better not to join at all!

Actually, this Weibo post was just the person venting their dissatisfaction and anger amidst this malicious trend.

However, it unexpectedly caused a huge uproar.

One after another, countless industry insiders unexpectedly spoke out.

A department head from a southern station:

”Here too, two celebrities in three of our programs tore up their contracts at the last minute, seriously delaying the production schedule.”

”Now seeking replacements last minute, many celebrities first scorn the joining fees as too low.”

”Now I want to ask Lu Xiaobu and the team of ’The Voice’, what basis do you have for offering nearly double the standard joining fees in the industry?”

”Just because you have money, can you distort the market? So future programs will just depend on spending money?!”

”How is this different from using young celebrities to prop up the facade and make money, which you, Lu Xiaobu, have always opposed?!”

”Please don’t let the mercenary smell of the business world overly pollute our variety show circle!”

Seeing this, the boss of a TV program production company also stood up, outraged.

”Since the joining fees of the four guests on ’The Voice’ were leaked, almost all domestic talent and reality shows have been impacted. This is a malicious market disruption and should be severely punished!”

”Everyone knows what the current market for variety shows is like.”

”With the advancement of the internet, the invasion of foreign programs, and the abundance of other entertainment activities, variety shows no longer have the glamour of previous years.”

”Variety shows are tough to do these days, they don’t make money! But you, Lu Xiaobu, with all your riches, think you can inflate prices?”

”Being unreasonable also has its limits!”
