The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Carson Flores paid some attention to Jarett Roth, but it was only a little bit.

Nowadays, Carson is surrounded by many powerful figures, and his support is quite robust.

Not to mention a Deputy Sect Master, he could probably sweep through the entire Majestic Sect without issue!

”Sect Master, your residence has long been arranged, I’ll take you to your quarters!”

”Alright, thank you!”

Carradine led Carson deep into the Sect, the environment along the way was serene, with abundant spiritual energy, suitable for cultivation.

Carson’s residence was a small manor, complete with maidens and servants. Samantha Tate and others, being Carson’s Pathist couple, also lived here.

Knowing that Carson would want to talk with his wives first, Carradine escorted them there, made a few arrangements, and then left voluntarily, giving them the space to themselves.

In the spacious room, Carson laughed and said, ”Before I came, I hadn’t expected such a great surprise would be waiting for me.”

Lilianna Norman chuckled, ”It’s because you’re always stirring things up. You took a trip to the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain and ran into the Demon Race, thwarting their teleportation plan. The Immortal Demon War hasn’t even officially started yet, and you’ve already made contributions.”

Carson asked, ”What’s the current situation? Is there any movement from the Demon Realm?”

Lilianna’s face turned serious, ”It’s said that the passage between the Immortal and Demon Worlds has already shown signs of loosening, with some scattered demons intruding into the Immortal Realm, but most are eradicated. From the latest information, it seems the Immortal Demon War is inevitable...”

Carson frowned, ”When will the Immortal Demon Passage fully open?”

Lilianna shook her head, ”I don’t know; it all depends on how much effort the Demon Race puts into it. The Immortal Demon Wars have always been about the Demon Realm attacking and the Immortal Realm defending.”

Carson curiously asked, ”Why doesn’t the Immortal Realm take the initiative to attack?”

Lilianna replied, ”The environment in the Demon Realm is reportedly unfriendly to immortals, affecting their powers. So, if we were to invade the Demon Realm, we’d suffer great losses. Furthermore, the harsh conditions there hold little interest for the Immortal Realm, whereas the Demon Race has always desired to invade the Immortal Realm and dominate the Human Race. Thus, whenever they have the chance, they aim to attack our Immortal Realm.”

Oraya Lorne spoke up, ”The opening of the passage is a prolonged process, not achieved in a day. Once the fissures appear, war will always loom, and the former Majestic Sect Master died while executing a mission.”

Mission death?

To have me succeed as Sect Master?

Norric Shepherd is well-versed in celestial calculations; he has talked to me about some matters concerning the ’future.’ Could it be that Norric Shepherd has some plans for me?

Unlikely, right?

Even though I have allies, my strength is only that of a Great Land Immortal, not worthy of such a burden.

Carson pondered and said, ”You’ve lived here for many years now. How do you feel?”

Nico Weaver answered, ”Because you hadn’t arrived yet, we came here, temporarily staying as family members of the Sect Master without actively participating in Majestic Sect’s affairs.”

”Before your arrival, the affairs of the Majestic Sect were handled by the Deputy Sect Master, Isembard Roth. Since the Sect Master was absent, it was only natural for the Deputy Sect Master to act as a proxy, and given his seniority and prestige, it’s quite fitting.”

Carson laughed, ”What’s his attitude toward me, an unfamiliar Sect Master?”

Nico Weaver shook his head, ”When the order from the War God Temple arrived, they announced it in front of all disciples and have been polite to us, visibly not opposing or resisting. As for their inner thoughts, we can’t really tell.”

”You naturally dislike managing affairs and prefer being free; the position of Majestic Sect Master is something you could easily take or leave. So, living here, we consider ourselves guests, don’t interfere with sect affairs, and over the years, have gotten along quite well.”

Carson smiled bitterly, ”Suddenly feels like I’ve rejoined the army. How many people are in the entire Majestic Sect?”
