The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Friend?”

Samir Coffey looked at Niall Sinclair before glancing at Carson Flores again, his gaze turning a bit subtle: ”All your friends seem to be beauties.”

Carson Flores chuckled: ”If it’s not a man, then it’s a woman. I have plenty of male friends too, you saw them in the Thunder Immortal Realm...”

Samir Coffey smiled slightly: ”Pathist couple?”

Carson Flores hesitated for a moment, but Niall Sinclair beside him calmly answered, ”Yes.”

Carson Flores subconsciously turned his face toward Niall Sinclair, but right now she was wearing an utterly calm fake expression, making it impossible to see her true emotions.

Samir Coffey gave Carson Flores a look and made a mischief-filled comment: ”She’s not as good as those Pathist partners of yours. Your standards have dropped.”

Once Samir Coffey finished, he looked at the two of them expectantly, waiting for their reactions.

Carson Flores should be flying into a shameful rage, right?

This woman should be so mortified she’d want to crawl into a hole.

But to Samir Coffey’s surprise, Carson Flores didn’t get angry; instead, a rather odd expression appeared on his face.

Niall Sinclair also didn’t show any sign of anger. She replied lightly, in a relaxed tone: ”I’ve met all the sisters. Each one of them is very beautiful, like Heavenly Immortals. I’m ashamed of myself in comparison.”

Samir Coffey froze. She still wasn’t angry?

”You’ve met his other women?”

Niall Sinclair chuckled softly: ”You mean the Demon Race Holy Maiden Noran, who worked with you, and the others? Of course I’ve met them. Not only have we met, we’ve even lived together for many years. Our bond is like that of sisters.”

Samir Coffey was momentarily speechless, feeling like he’d just slapped his own face.

He stuck his thumb up at Carson Flores: ”I might not admit you’re better than me in other areas, but when it comes to women, I really do bow to you!”

Carson Flores laughed: ”Don’t stir things up. Otherwise, she can beat you up in minutes!”

Samir Coffey let out a sigh and, still unwilling, asked Niall Sinclair: ”Why is each of you more ridiculous than the last? What exactly is so good about him that makes you all throw everything away to follow him, even sharing one man without getting jealous?”

Niall Sinclair laughed lightly: ”The Immortal Path is endless and the road is hard. Huddling together to keep warm is better than walking alone in loneliness, right? As for sharing one man, we’re all busy cultivating. We’re really busy—who has time to get jealous? When you’re focusing on your own cultivation, having another sister accompanying him—what’s so bad about that?”

Samir Coffey opened his mouth, but didn’t know what to say, and in the end closed it.

”Then the three of us team up later?”

Carson Flores asked, ”How exactly are the battle record or, say, the points calculated inside?”

Samir Coffey replied, ”The numbers on both sides of the camp are the same. Based on the number of camps, the Artifact Refining Masters made tags in two different colors and distributed them to the participants on both sides.”

”The tags are refined from special materials so they won’t be easily destroyed in battle. Also, there are Formations inscribed on them that correspond to the Formations outside the killing field. If someone loses their tag, the Formation will eject them in a very short time, stripping them of their qualification to continue participating.”

”This battle is essentially a tag-grabbing war. Although surrender is allowed, just because you surrender doesn’t mean the other side won’t kill you. After all, this is a contest between two races, and the hatred runs deep.”

”When a tag is taken, usually it means the person has already been heavily injured or killed. Of course, if you realize someone’s set their sights on you, you can’t escape, and you don’t want to die, there’s only one way: throw your tag away as fast as possible, then do everything you can to stall for time. Once the Formation senses you’ve lost your tag and ejects you out of the battlefield, you survive.”

Carson Flores summed it up and smiled: ”So the final scoring method is based on how many tags you have?”

”Right!”

Samir Coffey grinned: ”If you don’t want to kill, you can force the other party to hand over their tag, then rely on the Formation to kick them out. Anyway, getting the tag counts as a win. When the bout ends, the more tags you have, the greater the rewards you’ll get. With good results, the contribution points you earn in your sect will also be higher.”
