The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1164: Chapter 1164: He’s Trying to Kill Me, Why Not Destroy His Abnormal Phenomenon!

Carson Flores accompanied Erik Jackson, slowly making their way back.

During this time, Carson hadn’t been idle.

He was researching how to nurture his ”child.”

At this moment, the Spectral Elemental Fire was drained almost dry by Kash Lam, utterly listless, like a strong man drained by a wealthy madam over several days, without a hint of energy.

The inside of the Yin-Yang Mirror was filled with pure Spiritual Energy, but the Spectral Elemental Fire was like a child with anorexia, visibly malnourished and yet stubbornly unwilling to eat.

Although the Spectral Elemental Fire was absorbing Spiritual Energy from within the Water-Fire Mirror, the amount it consumed was very little.

At this rate, it would take who knows how long to recover and grow to full battle readiness.

Carson subconsciously thought of that Metal Slab he had obtained from the Sea of Annihilation’s Mist Island.

This Metal Slab would absorb Spiritual Energy and then convert it into an even purer Immortal Spirit Qi. What if he used the Immortal Spirit Qi to feed the Spectral Elemental Fire?

When rescuing Erik Jackson, Carson had witnessed the power of the Spectral Elemental Fire. The sturdy Profound Ice that even the Emperor Seal could not shatter was burned away, bit by bit, by the Spectral Elemental Fire!

This reaffirmed Carson’s resolve to nurture the Spectral Elemental Fire. Furthermore, the Lam Family had provided him with the Spirit Fire Contract Method. As long as he could form a contract, the Spectral Elemental Fire would be at his command.

After repeated observations over this period, he had figured out the cycle of the Metal Slab’s absorption and release of Spiritual Energy.

The Metal Slab absorbed Spiritual Energy roughly every thirty days and then emitted Immortal Spirit Qi, meaning its cycle for converting Spiritual Energy into Immortal Spirit Qi was one month.

The absorption of Spiritual Energy was relatively tame, but the emission of Immortal Spirit Qi was an impressive spectacle, with rainbow radiance soaring into the sky.

Carson had previously purchased a Concealing Spirit Feather Robe for planting Spiritual Medicine, which could be enlarged to conceal fluctuations of Spiritual Energy. It should be useful when releasing Immortal Spirit Qi.

The Metal Slab contained its own space for automatic transformation, so putting it into a Space Ring did not interfere with its internal conversion process. In other words, it only needed to be taken out once a month.

After releasing the Immortal Spirit Qi and absorbing enough Spiritual Energy, it could be placed back in the Space Ring and the process repeated a month later.

In a fixed location, he could release Immortal Spirit Qi in a sealed room. But what about in the wilderness, or on the road?

Carson wasn’t stumped.

He bought a Wind Gourd from a magic treasure store. The Wind Gourd was a type of Magic Artifact with space-like abilities, designed to suck in air and then release it rapidly to create strong winds or tornados.

Logically, the Wind Gourd and the Water-Fire Mirror belonged to the same category of magic treasures, but the force with which the Wind Gourd could absorb and release wind was significantly weaker. In fact, many Cultivators used the Wind Gourd as a cooling fan.

It lacked offensive power, but for a cool breeze, it was certainly up to the task.

When the Metal Slab released Immortal Spirit Qi, Carson could place it in a sealed space. Once the Immortal Spirit Qi was fully emitted, he could use the Wind Gourd to easily suck all of it inside for storage. When he needed to use it, he would simply release the Immortal Spirit Qi again.

This had also been an idea Carson pondered for achieving immortality, but Cristopher Hopkins had rejected it, saying it wouldn’t work. But collecting some Immortal Spirit Qi for cultivation or feeding the Spectral Elemental Fire, that should be okay, right?

Without incident, the two smoothly returned to Nutwood Mountain.

After rest along the way, Erik Jackson’s spirits had improved quite a bit. Although he still looked frail, at least he no longer seemed like a fleshless skeleton.

Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak, cliffside cottage.

”Senior Erik?”

Delaney Hunter widened her eyes in shock as she looked at Carson Flores: ”From the Ancient Eight Great Families, the Jackson Family?”

Carson nodded and recounted the whole encounter with Erik Jackson.

”He passed the Berserk Art to you?”
