The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 967: Chapter 967: You Come On Over, Let’s Have a One-on-One Duel

Carson Flores had just emerged from the massive ship of the Xuanfeng Sect when a mocking voice reached his ears.

”Oh, isn’t this Carson Flores? Looking for Shirley Miller?”

Carson turned his head to see, on the prow of another massive ship next to him, Liam Malone standing arrogantly at the railing, his eyes full of scorn as he stared at Carson, a sneering smile on his face.

Carson responded icily, ”None of your business.”

Liam’s expression changed, his tone sarcastic, ”Worthy of being the holder of the Emperor Seal, you are quite arrogant. But you are not the Human Emperor yet. Don’t be so haughty, who knows, maybe one day the Emperor Seal will run off... find someone new...”

Carson snorted with laughter, ”Whether the Emperor Seal runs off or not is my business, none of yours.”

Liam’s face suddenly soured.

He was now the rightful Son of Rajevols, the number one amongst the Rajevols disciples!

And yet, Carson gave him no face at all!

”The Four Sects of Rajevols are about to merge into one, and Shirley Miller is my junior sister. As a disciple from Nutwood Mountain, isn’t it only natural for me to take an interest in my junior sister’s well-being when you come looking for her?”

Carson sneered coldly, ”Butting in like a horse’s snout in a bull’s pen, just became the Son of Rajevols for a few days and you think you’re something? Feeling like you’re awesome, wanting to control everything, thinking everyone has to give you face. Is your face that big?”

”Everyone knows Mary Jimenez is my wife. Coming to see my own wife, even Sect Master Chen has no objections, do I need to report to a ’senior brother’ who has nothing to do with me?”

Liam’s face turned beet-red; Carson’s words left no face for him, akin to repeatedly slapping his face with a shoe.

The four Flying Boats of the Rajevols Sect were moored together, and many Rajevols disciples witnessed it all, making Liam feel even more humiliated.

Liam’s eyes brimmed with murderous intent, ”Carson Flores, are you looking for death?”

Carson’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”What, stating some facts pricked at your vain heart? Want to kill me? Bring it on, let’s have a one-on-one fight!”

Carson’s uncompromising and sharp retort made it even harder for Liam to back down.

”You said it, don’t you go accusing me of a Mid-Stage of God Transformation bullying a Nascent Soul, older picking on the younger!”

Carson lifted his chin proudly, ”Yes, I said it. Come on then!”

Carson was already seething inside. Bullying my wife and being passive-aggressive in front of me? I’ll show you!

Given the other’s high status and the public setting, Carson couldn’t just strike him directly. But now that Liam had been provoked to strike first, even if Carson crippled him, Rajevols couldn’t blame him, right?

I’m just a Nascent Soul, and if I beat up the Son of Rajevols, do they think they can trouble me without shame?

When has Nutwood Mountain been without protectors?

Liam leaped up, shouting, ”Good, come on up, and let’s see if your abilities are as great as your mouth!”

Carson leaped up as well, hovering opposite Liam, his gaze calm as he observed him.

”What are the rules? Just a spar, or are we using all means at our disposal, with each responsible for their own life?”

Liam sneered loudly, scorning, ”What’s with this pretense of magnanimity? Cultivators, in victory or defeat, since you’ve talked big, don’t chicken out now. It’s every man for himself, responsible for your own life. If you don’t dare, then don’t talk big and just scram!”

Liam’s voice was loud, rolling like thunder and spreading far and wide, instantly drawing many people’s attention. Numerous individuals flew out from their Flying Boats, converging toward the scene.

Liam did this intentionally, craving more attention to the situation. He planned to defeat Carson in front of everyone, to shame him!

Carson glanced around at the densely packed onlookers, which included some heavy hitters, but he didn’t care. Instead, he just nodded calmly.

”Fine!”

”That’s not fair!”

From the crowd came a familiar booming voice: ”You’re in the Mid-Stage of God Transformation, bullying Carson who’s been a Nascent Soul for less than a year, do you have no shame?”

Kash Lam flew over, not hiding his disdain for Liam, ”If you want to fight, I’ll fight you. I’ve heard you’re now the Son of Rajevols, and I’d like to see for myself how capable you are.”
