The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1525: Chapter 1525: Working Hard for the Money

”Everyone, get back to your business.” The director dismissed them.

The staff member who was fired wanted to plead, but the assistant director shut them up with a single sentence. ”If you leave now, it can be said that your family has issues, so this job isn’t suitable for you. If you insist on causing trouble, then the incident of you bringing someone unauthorized backstage will spread. Then, finding your next job will be tough.”

”I... I really didn’t mean to.”

”In this world, an ’I didn’t mean to’ isn’t enough.”

”I won’t make a fuss.” She lowered her head, choosing to accept the situation.

Unless she didn’t want to be in this line of work anymore, her reputation mustn’t be tarnished, or she’d have trouble finding her next job.

The assistant director nodded. ”Come with me, I’ll have someone settle your wages.”

Most of the staff had left. The hallway only had the director, Chen Zi, Little Taotie, the lead actress, the second sister actress, and the third sister actress left.

The director looked at Chen Zi. ”The scriptwriter will come by later, there are some scenes that need revisions.”

Chen Zi asked, ”Is it Little Taotie’s scenes?”

The director nodded. ”Originally, there were scenes of Little Taotie picking wild vegetables in the first half, but Little Taotie is after all...” chubby.

The director cleared his throat and changed the subject. ”I asked the scriptwriter to change it to the lead role earning money to feed and fatten up her sister.”

Chen Zi twitched his mouth. ”Raising a piglet?”

The director coughed. ”Don’t put it that way.” He glanced at Little Taotie surrounded by the three sisters, feeling relieved that Little Taotie didn’t hear it.

...

The scriptwriter stayed up all night to revise her work. Little did she know that she would get a call from the director to revise the script again right after she lay down to sleep. With no choice, she got up from bed and continued working on the computer. Finally, after finishing the revisions without even having had a meal, she rushed to the studio.

Upon arrival, she tossed the tablet to the director. ”The password is six eights, check it yourself.”

The director squinted at her. ”How much do you love money?”

The scriptwriter let out a cold laugh. ”I love money immensely! If I had money, I’d throw the script in your face and shout, ’The old mother isn’t changing the script, take it or leave it!’”

The director snorted. ”Unfortunately, you don’t have money.”

The scriptwriter: ”...”

The director smiled, ”Not only do you not have money, but you also have debt. Haven’t paid off the mortgage and car loan, right?”

The scriptwriter: ”...”

The director opened the tablet, calmly pressed six eights, and grinned. ”So you see, working class, you just have to change it as I instruct.”

The scriptwriter: ”...” Her fists clenched, but... she didn’t have the courage to strike!

Forget it, for the sake of money, she would endure!

The director smiled. ”Not only can you not offend me, but you also have to butter me up. Otherwise, I’ll make things difficult for you, purposely calling you to make changes in the middle of the night!”

”Fine, you’re ruthless!!!” The scriptwriter glared at him through gritted teeth.

”Hmm? Are you trying to offend me?”

The scriptwriter: ”...”

”Hmm?”

The scriptwriter took a deep breath. ”Fine, whatever you say goes. I’ll change it however you want. You’re the boss, you’re my bread and butter!”

”Who wants to be your bread and butter? Do I look that old? I’m actually two years younger than you!”

The scriptwriter: ”...”

Her age was her Achilles’ heel.

Forget it, she didn’t want to talk anymore.

She decided to start being mute from now on.

The director seriously reviewed the script and felt some parts still needed modification. Looking up at her, he saw her lost in thought.

”Snap out of it!”

”Oh, oh, oh.”

”Change this part, she’s only six or seven, no need for a child bridegroom.”

But the scriptwriter insisted, ”It’s necessary, husbands should be nurtured from a young age.”
