The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1257: Chapter 1257: The Young Zhuge Descendant

Helen suspiciously asked, ”You didn’t even check if there’s anyone here and just went to sleep? I suspect you saw us working and didn’t want to help, so you just took a nap on the sofa!”

The little boy confidently replied without blushing or feeling guilty, ”No way! This is a strange place, and I’m here alone. I was scared to wander around, so I hid on the sofa, thinking I’d wait for someone to come and join me to explore. Maybe because I stayed up all night on the plane, I was too tired and fell asleep.”

The little boy looked so innocent, his little brows furrowed, his little face scrunched up, looking a bit pitiful and aggrieved.

Helen stared at him for a long time, trying to see any signs of lying, but she couldn’t find anything and had to reluctantly believe him.

The mother, who was eager to change her son, was watching the surveillance and saw her son fool everyone, fuming, ”This brat, he’s a master at being sneaky!”

Her husband tried to comfort her, ”Don’t be angry, we have to give him some time to change gradually...”

”It’s all your mom’s fault! She kept calling him the ’treasure of the Zhuge family,’ spoiling him like an Emperor! Even the Emperor has to rise early and work hard reviewing memorials! If he keeps going like this, he’ll grow lazy sores...”

”You can’t blame my mom for this!”

The director impatiently said, ”Quiet down, please.”

The couple finally quieted down.

Besides the two of them, there were also Li Dahe and Helen’s parents.

They all voluntarily sent their children to the island, hoping they would get rid of some bad habits and learn independence.

Li Dahe’s father said, ”We hope Dahe can become more independent, so we can safely send him to a boarding school.”

Helen’s father shook his head, ”Boarding school isn’t good; day school is better.”

The parents engaged in a series of discussions about day school versus boarding school...

The kids in the villa introduced themselves to each other.

The newcomer was also a mixed-race child, with a father from Hua Country and a mixed-blood mother.

”Your last name is Zhuge?” Li Dahe was very surprised.

Zhuge Xunming proudly replied, ”Yes! My ancestors were very smart and talented people!”

Li Dahe admired him and asked, ”Is Zhuge Liang your ancestor?”

Zhuge Xunming raised his chin, ”Yes!”

Li Dahe said, ”Then you must be very smart too, right?”

Zhuge Xunming replied, ”Yes!”

Li Dahe asked, ”Then do you know what temperature and how long to bake a well-mixed cake batter?”

Tom said, ”How would he know? Don’t bother asking.”

Helen said, ”He definitely doesn’t know.”

Zhuge Xunming snorted coldly, ”I do know. 160°, about thirty minutes. Keep an eye on it; once it rises and turns golden brown on the surface, it’s ready. If not, add another five minutes. It’s best to preheat at 180° to 200°, a bit higher temperature.”

”You really know?” Helen was incredulous, suspecting he was bluffing.

Li Dahe was convinced, ”He sounds so confident, even knowing the preheat temperature, it must be true!”

Tom said, ”Let’s try baking half of the cake batter first, don’t bake it all.”

Zhuge Xunming said, ”Don’t test it, just listen to me! Baking twice is too troublesome!”

He rubbed his stomach, ”I’m hungry too, go bake it quickly!”

Helen was not too happy, ”Aren’t you going to help? You just know how to give orders!”

”Yeah, your attitude isn’t great; I don’t like it,” Li Dahe also seemed a bit displeased.

Zhuge Xunming lay flat on the sofa, ”I’m tired and don’t want to move.”

Tom frowned at him, his eyes full of disapproval, ”If you don’t help, you won’t get a piece of the cake later.”
