The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1009: Chapter 1009: Eyes Swollen Like Walnuts from Crying

Jin Yishan ignored her, covered Little Jinzi with the quilt, turned off the light, and said coldly: ”Sleep.”

Jin Yishan closed her eyes and fell asleep, but crying sounds reached her ears.

She didn’t care, as her sister was a crybaby by nature.

Once she cried enough, she would naturally fall asleep.

Just like every time she wanted something, if the family didn’t buy it for her, she would cry and fuss nonstop, but once she was tired, she would naturally stop crying.

Jin Yishan drowsily fell asleep.

In the dream, it was raining heavily.

Vaguely, the sound of crying never stopped.

In the middle of the night, Jin Yishan got up to go to the bathroom, turned on the nightlight, and found that the little bundle beside her was still crying!

Jin Yishan frowned tightly, thinking she had only slept for a moment, but when she checked the time, it was past three o’clock in the morning.

”Why are you still crying?” Jin Yishan reached out to pull off the quilt to see if her sister was just making a lot of noise but not really affected.

Little Jinzi held onto the quilt tightly, and Jin Yishan didn’t pull it away.

Jin Yishan used a bit of force and turned Little Jinzi over with the quilt.

Jin Yishan finally saw Little Jinzi’s face.

She had cried until her eyes were red, swollen like walnuts, and tears were still flowing down her cheeks.

At this moment, Jin Yishan realized that this was different from any other time before.

It wasn’t the crying over not getting a toy, nor was it the noisy fuss without real upset, but genuine sadness and distress, crying for almost the entire night.

Jin Yishan pulled out a tissue to wipe her tears, but Little Jinzi dodged it.

”Why make yourself disliked?” Jin Yishan softly muttered.

A look inadvertently revealed by Chen Zi was captured by Jin Yishan.

It was a look of disgust, disdain, with an accusation.

Clearly, Taotie’s assistant thought Little Jinzi was the culprit, the source of everything, believing Little Jinzi corrupted his Little Taotie.

Jin Yishan had considered that if the other party verbally blamed her sister, she would get into a fight, but the other party only glanced and said nothing.

But it’s this kind of glance, saying nothing, that makes one feel even more stifled.

So she wanted her sister to keep a distance from Little Taotie, to avoid others disliking her.

But her sister was just an oblivious little thing!

”Cry, cry, cry, that’s all you know!”

”Stop crying!”

Useless, Little Jinzi cried even louder.

Sobbing uncontrollably.

Originally, she was quietly whimpering under the quilt, but now, she was crying loudly, and in the dead of night, the sound quickly spread.

Xiao Lingzhi lived next door.

Xiao Lingzhi was nudged awake by her manager, somewhat annoyed, glaring at him.

The manager frowned: ”Listen.”

Xiao Lingzhi perked up her ears to listen, blinked, puzzled: ”Who’s hitting a child in the middle of the night? This crying sounds familiar, who is it?”

The manager helplessly said: ”Next door is Little Jinzi.”

Xiao Lingzhi leapt up: ”Is Little Jinzi crying?”

The manager nodded.

Xiao Lingzhi slipped on slippers and rushed out, the manager didn’t stop her.

”Bang bang bang!” The knocking on the door was urgent.

Jin Yishan frowned, put on a coat, and went to open the door.

Opening the door, she didn’t see anyone, but looked down and saw a little figure.

Xiao Lingzhi didn’t wait for her to invite her in, but directly squeezed through the gap.

Jin Yishan wasn’t angry at her intrusion because she saw the concern and worry on Xiao Lingzhi’s face.

Xiao Lingzhi rushed to the bedside and saw the poor child sobbing loudly, with eyes swollen like walnuts.

”Little Jinzi, are you done being hit?” Xiao Lingzhi checked her arms and legs and even wanted to look at her bottom to see if she had been beaten.

”Don’t cry, if you’ve been hit, we’ll immediately call the police. In this area, it’s illegal to hit children, and hitting children will lead to jail time! We’ll have your big sister sent to jail to eat jail food!”

Jin Yishan: ”...” I heard everything.
