The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 710: Chapter 710 Cupid Chef Gets Blackened

Gu Bei didn’t want Little Taotie to know too much about the dark side of the entertainment industry, but since Little Taotie was involved, she couldn’t afford to be oblivious.

Gu Bei nodded and told her truthfully, ”They are indeed slandering him, and I’ve checked - this post was paid to trend.”

Nowadays, Cupid Chef’s fame was not enough to hit the trending searches; someone behind the scenes was sabotaging him.

Those who lost to him harbored resentment, thinking Cupid Chef was just a clown pandering for public attention.

The post claimed that Cupid Chef’s fried rice was extremely awful. Everyone in the competition chose their most skilled, most difficult, and most iconic dishes, while Cupid Chef was dismissive, appearing as if he was just going through the motions by serving fried rice.

Public opinion was quickly skewed by the post’s author, causing many to reconsider their views.

If it were themselves on such a show, would they serve a dish of fried rice?

The answer was obviously no.

They would definitely choose their five best dishes, ones that were challenging enough to showcase their professionalism.

Serving fried rice did indeed seem dismissive and did not appear as though he valued the show.

The author of the post deliberately avoided the reason of insufficient ingredients and continued to smear Cupid Chef.

Even those who had benefitted from Cupid Chef’s fried rice recipe and won over their crushes gradually turned against him.

Little Taotie, knowing all this, was infuriated, clenching her fists, ”They are too much!”

Gu Bei sighed, ”That’s the entertainment industry for you, full of pretense.”

”I want to help him!” Little Taotie pulled out her cellphone and started a live stream.

Gu Bei couldn’t stop her in time.

Seeing that she had already started the stream, there was nothing more he could say.

Little Taotie told her live stream fans, ”Cupid Chef chose to make fried rice because there weren’t enough ingredients, and although the first attempt wasn’t great, he later perfected it, and it turned out delicious - just like the recipe you guys learned from the video!”

[Zaizai, you finally go live, and immediately you start speaking up for someone else?]

[Zaizai, are you close to that Chef?]

[Was it because of the lack of ingredients?]

[Zaizai, we are all your fans, we’ll believe whatever you say, but those people out there won’t believe it!]

[Hey, Cupid Chef must be getting maligned, right? I thought it was strange when he hit the trending searches. After all, so many popular celebrities can’t even make it into the top three, how did he, a newcomer from one variety show, manage it?]

[I feel the same way as the person above!]

[Ditto!]

[Is Zaizai trying to clear Cupid Chef’s name?]

Little Taotie nodded vigorously, ”I want to help him!”

[But you talking here isn’t very useful, since we’re all your fans and we don’t smear him.]

[Yeah, you should post something to clarify for him.]

[Or post on Weibo would work too.]

”I got it, bye.”

Little Taotie said she was going offline and did exactly that, leaving her fans bewildered and kicked out of the live stream.

Her fans had a fan group for the live stream, and everyone rushed into the group to chat about it spiritedly.

[Zaizai is so heartless~]

[Zaizai is so cold~]

[Zaizai uses people and discards them~]

[Yeah, she just gets what she needs from us and leaves, so heartless and cold~]

[Don’t be like this, it’s disgusting!]

[Sob sob sob...]

[Sob sob sob~~~]

[Sob sob sob!!!]

[Can you guys act normal for once!]

The others didn’t listen and continued fooling around.

[Stop chatting here, let’s check Zaizai’s Weibo!]
