The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 667: Chapter 667: Yuanyuan Also Ran Away

Sister Xiangxiang hurriedly held onto the child and started laughing, ”Don’t make it hard for Sister Yuanyuan, she doesn’t have the thick skin I do. If you keep asking her like this, she might just run away whenever she sees you in the future!”

”Why would she run?” Little Taotie was even more confused.

”Well,” Sister Xiangxiang laughed with a deep meaning, ”Ignorance is bliss, and the ignorant lack a sense of shame. When you grow up a bit and start having physical education classes at school, you’ll understand.”

”Can’t I know now?”

Sister Xiangxiang tapped her little nose, ”Curiosity killed the cat, kids shouldn’t know certain things.”

”Hmph, you just refuse to tell me.” Little Taotie turned her head away, to prevent her from touching her nose.

Sister Xiangxiang giggled and leaned closer to whisper in her ear, ”It’s something every girl goes through, you’ll understand when you’re older. You shouldn’t ask people about it arbitrarily; otherwise, you might feel really embarrassed about it later.”

”Why should I feel embarrassed?”

”Like the things you said to Hua Jinyan today, perhaps when you’re a bit older and think back, you’ll feel utterly mortified and might even run away the moment you see him.”

Little Taotie’s eyes were blank, and she was very upset with the adults for their cryptic way of speaking, ”You just won’t tell me! I’m going to ask someone else!”

Little Taotie turned and ran, and this time Sister Xiangxiang couldn’t stop her.

Sister Xiangxiang, feeling helpless, pursued her for a couple of steps, but stopped when she saw someone standing around the corner.

She halted in her tracks and respectfully called out, ”Chief!”

Shen Cang frowned slightly and nodded, ”Go on with your duties.”

Sister Xiangxiang initially wanted to catch up to Little Taotie, but since the chief had told her to attend to her duties, it was clear he didn’t want her to chase. She could only nod and turn the other way.

Shen Cang watched Little Taotie running off in the distance and touched his forehead, ”Children, indeed very troublesome.”

...

”Sister Yuanyuan, why do you run, Sister Yuanyuan, answer me quickly...”

Little Taotie chased after Sister Yuanyuan like a little tail.

Sister Yuanyuan’s face turned red, and she looked quite distressed.

”Stop chasing me, I don’t know, I don’t know anything...”

”How could you not know, you are even older than Sister Xiangxiang...”

”Stop talking, don’t say anymore, if others hear us, I couldn’t show my face again!”

”Sister Yuanyuan, slow down, I can’t keep up!”

”I want you to not keep up!”

Sister Yuanyuan finally managed to shake her off and patted her own burning face, ”What’s going on, who taught her all this nonsense?”

Sister Yuanyuan thought about calling Qin Xin to tell him but felt too embarrassed. How was she supposed to start this conversation with Qin Xin, to outright say to him that Little Taotie came asking about her weight... how crucial is it?

Sister Yuanyuan’s face turned even redder, burning hot.

After looking around and not finding Sister Yuanyuan, Sister Xiangxiang, or seeing any sign of Hua Jinyan, Little Taotie’s little head drooped down, ”Why won’t anyone tell me?”

Children’s curiosities are boundless, and at an eager-to-learn age, they can turn into a walking ’why’. However, children also easily forget. After a few days, Little Taotie gradually forgot about this incident.

Sister Yuanyuan dared to appear before Little Taotie only then, and whenever Sister Xiangxiang saw Sister Yuanyuan, she teased her, leaving Sister Yuanyuan with no choice but to soothe her sadness with food.

But Hua Jinyan couldn’t yet forget about these things and occasionally still avoided Little Taotie, maintaining a distance.

Little Taotie, puzzled, stationed herself at the staircase entrance and finally stopped Hua Jinyan to demand, ”Why are you ignoring me?”

Her ability to turn the tables left Hua Jinyan dumbfounded.
