The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 477: Chapter 477: The Struggling King of Film Xu

After spending a considerable amount of time together, Little Taotie had come to realize that King of Film Xu was very picky about his food, but the little one didn’t know there was such a thing as anorexia nervosa.

She regarded King of Film Xu as a very picky adult who would pretend to eat a few bites and then secretly throw the rest away.

Little Taotie put on a serious face, and in a childishly stern voice said, “Father Xu, that’s not right! You can’t waste food!”

King of Film Xu sighed, feeling quite helpless, “I’m really not hungry, and I just can’t eat it.”

“Why?” Little Taotie looked bewilderedly at the bowl, inside which was egg fried rice with slices of cured meat, giving off an inviting fragrance.

The cured meat, smoked with pine needles and orange peels by the villagers, was translucent and emitted a fruit aroma.

She asked suspiciously, “Is it because Mother Cheng doesn’t cook well?”

King of Film Xu quickly shook his head, feeling the cold daggers from the corner of his eye, turned to meet Cheng Lu’s unfriendly gaze, and hurriedly explained, “You know, it’s not, it’s purely a personal reason!”

Cheng Lu withdrew her gaze, ignoring him.

“It’s really delicious, just try one bite, and after the first, you’ll want a second, and after the second, you’ll want a third…” Little Taotie muttered incessantly.

King of Film Xu looked as if life had lost all meaning, helplessly picked up the bowl, and grabbed a piece of meat soaked with egg fried rice using chopsticks. As soon as he brought it to his mouth, the scent hit him first, and he couldn’t help but retch.

He apologized as he put down the bowl and stepped outside, taking a deep breath of fresh air to calm himself.

Little Taotie did not let him off the hook but quietly followed him with the bowl in hand.

Turning around, King of Film Xu looked down, surprised to see the little one, “Why did you follow me?”

Little Taotie spoke in a muffled voice, “You watch me eat!”

King of Film Xu was taken aback.

Little Taotie picked up the bowl, a big spoonful of egg fried rice at the ready, and took a large bite, “Mmm!” Her cheeks almost instantly puffed out, turning her tender little face into a bulging bundle.

Her eyes glittered brightly, and deep within her round pupils, it was as if fireworks burst forth from the deliciousness of the food, dazzling and beautiful.

She moved her rosy little mouth, chewing, and her cheeks quickly deflated, letting out a sigh of contentment from the taste, “Yummy~”

Little Taotie looked up at King of Film Xu and saw him swallow hard.

Little Taotie revealed a smile, her little dimples sinking deep, her sweet baby voice asking, “Father Xu, are you hungry?”

King of Film Xu: “…”

Little Taotie held up the bowl to him, “You eat!”

King of Film Xu: “…”

Seeing that he still hadn’t taken it after a while, Little Taotie urged, “Adults really aren’t honest, your mouth’s already drooling!”

King of Film Xu: “…”

Little Taotie jumped up, pushed the bowl into his hands, and mimed eating, “Come on, eat~”

“It’s very tasty, the meat is so fragrant and delicious!”

“Plus, Mother Cheng worked so hard to make this, she will be very sad if you don’t eat! Cooks just hope that people will finish their meals and compliment them afterward!”

“This…” King of Film Xu hesitated, fearing the smell might make him gag again.

“Do you really hate the egg fried rice Mother Cheng made that much?”

King of Film Xu: “…”

Don’t torture me, my little darling!

Feeling a chilly stare, King of Film Xu turned to see Cheng Lu leaning against the door, her eyes coldly fixed on him.

King of Film Xu: “I didn’t mean that, as you know.”

Cheng Lu gave a cold laugh, “I don’t know that.”

King of Film Xu: “If I eat everything, will you believe me?”

Cheng Lu sneered, “If you don’t finish it, don’t ever talk to me again in your life.”
