The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Working Fast and Well Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Working Fast and Well Xiao Lingzhi rushed to answer, “I’m the Lin family’s little treasure~”

Little Taotie tilted her head to look at her, imitating her response, “I’m from big brother’s house, the little…” Her little face turned red, her milky voice softly added, “little treasure~”

The old farmer looked at the little girl whose face had turned rosy with shyness and then at the little girl brimming with proud confidence–this amused him: “No matter whose house you’re at, you both are little treasures!”

Such adorable little kids, anyone would like them no matter whose house they are in!

Little Taotie peeked at him and saw the rapeseed flowers above the old farmer’s head swaying with the wind. She also gently swayed her little body, her lips curving into a happy smile, her face still flushed.

“Old grandpa, may I help you with the work?”

The old farmer was pleasantly surprised and chuckled, “Sure, then can you help me pull out some weeds?”

“Okay!” Little Taotie straightened up, “Back in the village, I used to help my grandpa with farm work, and I’m the best at pulling weeds!”

Seeing that Little Taotie had already rushed into the field to start working, Xiao Lingzhi quickly patted her chest, “Me! I can work too!”

The old farmer nodded with a smile, “All right, all right!”

Xiao Lingzhi excitedly ran into the field, reached out to pull at something, but Little Taotie shouted loudly, “Don’t pull! That’s a little sprout!”

“Little sprout?” Xiao Lingzhi scratched her head, laughing foolishly, “It looks like a weed to me.”

“This green, spiky one, this is the weed.”

“How come the weed looks better than the little sprouts!”

“Weeds rob nutrients and they’re really tough; little sprouts can’t compete with them, so naturally, they don’t grow as well!”

“Wow! Then I must be careful not to pull the wrong ones!”

The two children vigorously got busy in the field.

The old farmer went home and returned with a pot of mung bean soup and a couple of Candy.

Actually, he hadn’t really expected the children to work for him, but seeing the children’s eyes sparkling with expectation, he couldn’t help but give them some tasks.

Seeing the two children busy in the field, Cheng Lu, who didn’t know how to farm, couldn’t stay idle, so she followed Little Taotie to pull weeds, listening carefully to the little teacher to avoid any mistakes.

“Are you tired? Have some mung bean soup and rest,” the old farmer called out.

Xiao Lingzhi didn’t want to work anymore, but seeing how serious Little Taotie was, she felt too guilty to slack off. Now, hearing the old farmer say they could stop, she was the first to run out of the field, delighted, “I love mung bean soup the most!”

As they were drinking the mung bean soup, a small truck drove in, and the driver greeted the old farmer, “The boss sent me to pick up the goods.”

“Alright!” the old farmer lifted a basket brimming with fresh greens and started loading it onto the truck.

The driver lit a cigarette and stood aside, not intending to lend a hand; his only job was to drive.

Little Taotie put down her bowl and ran over, seeing that there were five more baskets, all filled with fresh leafy greens.

“Old grandpa, do these all need to go on the truck?”

The old farmer placed a large basket on the truck, stood in front of it, wiped his sweat, and nodded in response, “These were all picked today, they’re for a nearby farmhouse’s owner.”

“I’ll help you!” Little Taotie rolled up her sleeves and reached out her fair, tender hands to lift the large basket.

The basket was nearly as tall as she was; carrying it, her little face disappeared.

The old farmer panicked, “Oh! Little one, don’t hurt yourself, put it down quickly!”

Little Taotie giggled, “I’m strong! It’s okay!”

The tiny figure really managed to carry the basket steadily to the front of the truck, set it down softly, and said, “Old grandpa, the truck is too high, I can only put it here.”

After setting down the large basket, she ran like the wind back to where the baskets were, grabbed another one, ran back, placed it in front of the truck, and ran off again…

By the time the old farmer snapped back to reality, there were already five large baskets in front of him, just needing to be loaded onto the truck.
