The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 455: Chapter 455: It’s Not Easy for the Two Elders Chapter 455: Chapter 455: It’s Not Easy for the Two Elders “Ah~” Tao Mo’s face bloomed into a smile as he stroked Little Taotie’s soft hair.

Xiao Lingzhi stood ten steps away, feeling that something was off but unable to pinpoint what it was.

Cheng Lu looked at the clueless Xiao Lingzhi, then at Little Taotie, who had become an accessory hanging from a leg, and muttered to herself, “I suspect Little Taotie is fooling Xiao Lingzhi, and has successfully snatched a grandpa! But I have no evidence!”

Tian Leran took Little Taotie’s hand with a loving smile, “Let’s go, we’re off to visit someone at the hospital.”

Only then did Little Taotie let go of Tao Mo’s leg, nodding obediently.

Tao Mo wanted to enjoy the pleasure of his granddaughter hanging from his leg a little longer, but his other half spoiled it.

Tian Leran walked ahead with Little Taotie, while Tao Mo followed behind humbly, leaning on his cane.

After everyone, including the King of Film Xu, had dispersed, Gu Yixing was asked, “Are those two Little Taotie’s biological grandparents?”

Gu Yixing nodded, “Yes, they are.”

The King of Film Xu recalled the old couple’s outfits and asked tentatively, “Have they been playing at surveillance all this time?”

Gu Yixing, recalling what he had heard on the way back from Tao Mo, nodded helplessly, “Little Taotie is still very young, and the grandfather from the mountains had just passed away not long ago, so she can’t immediately accept new relatives. She’s very resistant to their approach. Whenever they tried to visit her, she would hide in her room and refuse to come out. The grandparents are so desperate to see their granddaughter that they have no choice but to dress like they’re part of a combat unit, just so they can follow the production crew and secretly catch a glance of their granddaughter.”

Upon hearing this, the King of Film Xu sighed, “That’s quite tough.”

After Cheng Lu took Xiao Lingzhi to wash her hands and face and put her to bed, she came out and heard the conversation, asking curiously, “Little Taotie was switched by a maid, but what about the other child?”

Gu Yixing scoffed, “The usurper child has long been sent away.”

“Should be only six years old, right?” Cheng Lu’s eyes showed a bit of sympathy, “It’s the child who is innocent, to be suddenly abandoned…”

Gu Yixing made a stop gesture, “Stop right there! She’s not as pure and innocent as you think!”

Cheng Lu looked puzzled, “What do you know?”

Gu Yixing sneered, “Genetics are irrefutable. Initially, she was adopted by a foreign couple who genuinely wanted to adopt a child and treat her well. But she pretended to be sick on the airplane and even feigned foolishness.”

“Pretending to be sick? Playing the fool?” Cheng Lu couldn’t believe it, “She’s only six years old, why would she do such a thing?”

“What else could it be for, if not to return to her old home and continue to occupy Little Taotie’s identity? The foreign couple didn’t want to adopt a fool, so they sent her back. After she returned to the orphanage, she caused trouble every day and even refused to eat, all with the goal of making the head of the orphanage contact her previous mom; she would pretend to be crazy and dumb, insisting on seeing her mom,” Gu Yixing explained.

Cheng Lu’s face darkened, “After raising a child for six years, any soft-hearted woman would feel guilty and go to see her. If the child then put on a pitiful act, she might think it wouldn’t cost much more to raise another, and she’d end up taking the child back!”

Gu Yixing snorted, “That’s exactly what she’s hoping for! At such a young age, she’s so deceitful! If that kind of child were to return, would Little Taotie still have a place to call her own?”

“Definitely not. She might even keep tormenting Little Taotie!” Cheng Lu frowned tightly, the sympathy in her eyes completely gone, “I actually felt pity for her, but she’s not worth it!”

Xiao Lingzhi, in fact, couldn’t sleep at all. As soon as Cheng Lu left, she quietly got out of bed, crawled to the window, and eavesdropped on the adults’ conversation.

When she heard someone might take Little Taotie’s mom away, Xiao Lingzhi’s fists clenched!

Hmph!

Little Taotie, I will certainly help you teach that bad dove a lesson!
