The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Midnight Visitor Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Midnight Visitor Cheng Lu could never let Little Taotie wash the dishes, hurriedly intervened, “You’re too young, and the dishes are dangerous. What if you break them and cut your hands! Don’t move, I’ll do it!”

“Don’t move. You’ve worked hard cooking, let me do it!”

“I’ll do it!”

“I’ll do it!”

The two actually started arguing over washing the dishes. King of Film Xu held his forehead, scooped up Little Taotie in his arms.

Feeling her feet lifted off the ground, Little Taotie’s baby voice hurriedly said, “Put me down, I want to wash the dishes!”

King of Film Xu carried the child out and put her on the couch, then turned back to the kitchen.

Little Taotie ran after him, but King of Film Xu quickly closed the kitchen door.

Little Taotie knocked on the door from outside, “Open the door, let me wash the dishes!”

No one answered her.

Little Taotie was extremely dejected and slumped back to the couch with her head hanging low.

Gu Yixing tilted his head to look at the deflated little girl beside him, trying to suppress his laughter, he asked, “Do you really like washing dishes that much?”

“Mother Cheng has already cooked, and that was tough, I want to help share some chores. I really wash the dishes very clean, and I won’t break them, why don’t you believe me? When we were in the mountains, and grandpa wasn’t home, mom would always ask me to wash the dishes,” Little Taotie sighed, “I really wash them very cleanly.”

Gu Yixing pursed his lips, a flash of sympathy crossed his eyes.

He reached out and tousled Little Taotie’s hair, saying, “Sharing household duties doesn’t need to be hands-on.”

Little Taotie puzzled, her large eyes filling with confusion.

“You could buy a dishwasher; no one would need to fight over washing the dishes. The dishwasher can do the job for you.”

“Dishwasher?” Little Taotie recalled that the nanny never seems to wash the dishes.

“Is it a big metal box?” Little Taotie gestured the size.

Gu Yixing nodded, “The dishwasher cleans very well.”

“Too bad we don’t have one here.” Little Taotie hung her head low.

Gu Yixing chuckled, “Let the production team buy one.”

Hearing everything, the director felt a pang:

The already impoverished production team, now further strained!

But what could they do?

The gaze of the top star had already looked over, and it was rather fierce!

The director managed a bitter smile, “Buy! Buy right away!”

Little Taotie cheered, “Mother Cheng won’t have to work so hard!”

That night, as Cheng Lu was preparing to lull Little Taotie to sleep with many stories, the little girl didn’t need any coaxing at all as she seemed already exhausted and fell asleep immediately.

After the child fell asleep, the three adults talked for a while. King of Film Xu and Gu Yixing shared some filming experiences, after all, he was already a movie superstar.

After all three had gone to their rooms to sleep, the director yawned, “I’m going to sleep too, let the shift-changing cameraman replace you, you should sleep early too.”

“Okay,” the cameraman nodded in agreement.

After the director left, he tried calling the relieving young man, but couldn’t get through. Having no choice, he had to keep going.

He was half-asleep, thinking there wouldn’t be any need for shooting in the dead of night, when suddenly he heard a sound.

It was the sound of knocking.

The knocking was light, pausing a long time before happening again.

Little Taotie, who had gone to bed early, was exactly in the midst of needing to pee, and woke up immediately upon hearing the noise.

She got out of bed groggily, rubbed her eyes, and went to the door, opening it without a second thought.

The cameraman panicked, wondering why no adults had woken up; he rushed forward, not caring about filming anymore.

But opening the door, it wasn’t the villain the cameraman had imagined, but a little boy roughly the same size as Little Taotie.

The little boy’s face was dirty, with a runny nose, his big eyes brimming with tears, and the corners of his eyes red as if he had just cried.
