The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Gu Bei’s Inner Journey Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Gu Bei’s Inner Journey Little Taotie and all the robotic cats had taken photos. When they returned, he noticed that Gu Bei and Sister Sheng Nan seemed sticky together. Approaching Hua Jinyan, he whispered in his ear, “They look like two pieces of Rice Cake.”

Hua Jinyan looked towards Gu Bei, who just happened to look up and their eyes met. Gu Bei blinked his right eye at him.

Hua Jinyan nodded slightly and looked away.

Actually, Gu Bei had learned that Sheng Nan liked flowers from an inquiry he made to Hua Jinyan.

Gu Bei, a public relations expert, was originally adept at networking. He inquired that Sitian liked nuts, and Chen Han was a karaoke enthusiast but couldn’t find out what Sheng Nan liked.

Because Sheng Nan usually appeared as a desireless, ice-cold Goddess.

Initially, Gu Bei asked Hua Jinyan what flavor of Candy Little Taotie liked and casually inquired about Sheng Nan without much expectation. Unexpectedly, Hua Jinyan actually told him that Sheng Nan liked flowers.

Gu Bei found it hard to imagine that the girl, who appeared cold, secretly liked flowers.

This incongruity piqued his interest in her.

Initially, Gu Bei planned to casually buy some flowers, a bit of each type, as he didn’t know which flowers Sheng Nan liked. The best plan seemed to be to buy one of each type.

However, curiosity about the girl led him to investigate everything about Sheng Nan.

Sheng Nan was an orphan, her parents having died in an earthquake.

Unwilling to be adopted, she later displayed talent in Sanda and was trained by the state, becoming a champion in Sanda.

After her service ended, she became a bodyguard.

The bodyguard industry is more popular abroad than domestically, and many of her Sanda friends went overseas and invited her to join them.

Initially, she did go; her abilities were enough to qualify her as a world-class bodyguard.

Because she appeared petite and was a pretty girl, many were distrustful or wanted to bully her. Those foreign male bodyguards, being quite vulgar and silly, always troubled her until she beat them up. After that, they were afraid but continued to cause her hidden trouble discreetly.

Eventually, even if those foreign tycoons offered a lot of money, she refused to continue working there and returned to her country.

Male bodyguards were more popular domestically, leaving her unemployed, but luckily, she had earned quite a lot abroad so she wasn’t in a hurry until Qin Xin found her and hired her to protect Little Taotie, at which point she started working again.

Gu Bei, on an impulse, checked her romantic history and discovered she had never been in a relationship.

Initially, he thought she was a cold high-level professional who looked down on men, perhaps thinking all men were weak, which could explain her disdain for relationships.

Upon deeper investigation, he found she wasn’t such a person. He accidentally saw a photo from her childhood, discovering a picture of her holding a bouquet of roses and smiling brightly.

In the photo, a couple stood next to her, presumably her deceased parents.

Clearly, before the earthquake, she had been a girl who loved to smile; it was only after experiencing the earthquake that she became less inclined to smile.

Compelled by impulse, Gu Bei brought a bouquet of red roses, holding the roses in front of the girl, feeling a bit nervous at the time, regretting his impulsive choice, wondering how he could have selected such an awkward gift for their first meeting.

But upon seeing the girl’s flushed face across from him, Gu Bei was surprised to find that the girl with the cold face was actually quite easily embarrassed.

The image of her taking the flowers and running away deeply etched itself in his mind, and Gu Bei knew his love had arrived!

Originally, he thought about plotting carefully and pursuing her slowly.

But unexpectedly, just getting close to her, seeing her adorable nervous demeanor, he impulsively spoke out, wanting her to become his girlfriend, feeling like he couldn’t wait even a moment longer.
