The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 298: Chapter 298: The Smiling Wolf Grandma Chapter 298: Chapter 298: The Smiling Wolf Grandma Grandma Liu thumped the old man hard and snapped, “What are you implying? Is it so strange that my little grandson has friends?”

Grandpa Liu nodded earnestly, “Quite strange indeed.”

Grandma Liu pinched the flesh around his waist tightly, eliciting a series of pained howls from him, “I’m just telling the truth! Is there something wrong with that? Ouch! It hurts like hell!”

Hua Jinyan watched his comical grandpa with an expressionless face, feeling somewhat regretful about mentioning Little Taotie.

As expected, Grandpa Liu exclaimed, “No way, I have to see for myself what kind of brave soul wants to befriend this pancake face!”

Enraged, Grandma Liu twisted the soft flesh around Grandpa Liu’s waist with her thumb and forefinger, resulting in a pained wail, “My dear wife, have mercy! I was wrong! Isn’t admitting my mistake enough? Please! Loose your grip!”

Hua Jinyan: “…”

–He felt a little bit of sympathy for his grandpa right then.

“You dare call my little grandson ‘pancake face,’ I’ll turn you into a pancake!”

“My dear wife, I truly realize my mistake now, I am the pancake, I’m the pancake. I’ll never dare again… please, let go!”

“Hmph!”

Finally released, Grandpa Liu grimaced, rubbing his waist, and shot a pitiful glance at Hua Jinyan with his beady eyes.

Hua Jinyan met his gaze with an expressionless face.

Unable to contain his cheeky nature, Grandpa Liu sidled up to Hua Jinyan, whispering, “Little grandson, what does your friend look like? Do you have a photo together in your phone? Why don’t you introduce your friend to me and your grandma?”

Hua Jinyan intended to ignore him, but when he turned to see the expectant look in Grandma Liu’s eyes, he pursed his lips and gave a reserved nod.

Just as he pulled out his phone, a video call came through.

It was Little Taotie’s call!

Hua Jinyan gestured for Grandpa Liu and Grandma Liu to be silent before answering the video call.

On the phone’s screen appeared a soft, fair little face, with the girl’s thick and curled eyelashes, rosy little mouth, and a pair of eyes that seemed to be filled with sparkling stars, dazzling and beautiful. When she spoke, little dimples appeared faintly on her cheeks.

“Hua Jinyan, is your grandpa sick?”

“No, he’s faking it.”

“Just like your grandfather?”

“Yes.”

“Are they what they call ‘old children’ on TV?”

“Yes, they give me such a headache too.”

“So when are you coming back? Are you coming back for dinner tonight?”

“I won’t come back for dinner; I’ll return tomorrow.”

“Alright then, will you come back in the morning or the afternoon?”

“I’ll come back in the morning.”

“I’ll leave in the afternoon to shoot a commercial, do you want to come with me?”

“Okay, I’ll go with you!”

“Then bye-bye for now, make sure you keep your grandparents company!” Little Taotie blew a habitual kiss.

Having done live broadcasts recently, her flying kisses had grown very smooth and practiced.

Hua Jinyan’s face turned red as he waved his hand, “Bye-bye.”

This was a very ordinary phone call, but the more homely it was, the more it showed the close relationship between the two kids.

Grandpa Liu and Grandma Liu had been glued to the phone screen, unable to look away until the video call ended and the delicately crafted little girl disappeared from the display. Only then did they reluctantly shift their gaze to Hua Jinyan.

Grandpa Liu: “Be honest and you’ll be dealt with leniently, when did you start puppy love behind our backs!”

Grandma Liu elbowed him and lowered her voice, “Watch your mouth! If you can’t talk properly, then just shut up!”

Grandma Liu beamed at Hua Jinyan, giving him the eerie feeling of a ‘wolf in grandmother’s clothing.’

Grandma Liu: “We will take you back tomorrow morning, and that’s settled. No refusals allowed!”
