Medical and Martial God

Ye Xiu was no saint. He wouldn’t forgive Bruce just because he had cleared his own name. With over one hundred thousand War God Army soldiers pressing in, if it weren’t for the intelligence network Ye Xiu had in place covering the entire Biluo Island and providing an early warning of Bruce’s movements, today would have ended in tragedy. Wouldn’t the three Judicator Families have been laughing in their dreams as a result? So, Bruce, as the ringleader, had to be punished. An example had to be made of him to warn others and prevent such incidents from happening again.

”Apologize with death?” Bruce was stunned for a moment before becoming furious. ”Ye Xiu, you must be lightheaded from skipping breakfast! I misunderstood you because I was provoked by the enemy. I’m a victim too, so on what grounds are you demanding I apologize with my life?” Is there anything more humiliating than being punished by someone weaker than oneself?

Just as Bruce finished speaking, Xuan Ming Sect Hierarch Galava immediately chimed in sycophantically, ”Ye Xiu, you’ve proven your innocence through your own efforts, and we believe you were framed. Fortunately, our sides did not come to blows, which is a silver lining that should be celebrated. Isn’t demanding Bruce’s life as an apology a bit too much?” The crowd was speechless. Galava had been consistently duped by Bruce, yet he shamelessly continued to lick his boots.

”Galava, hold your horses,” Ye Xiu said coldly. ”Though the War God Army’s attack on Abandoned City was instigated by Bruce, you played a role in stirring up emotions. Your crime is no less than his. Once I’ve dealt with Bruce, you’ll be next.”

Galava’s face turned pale. He was just speaking up for Bruce. How did he end up caught in the crossfire? He hastily retorted, ”Ye Xiu, you’re talking nonsense! When did I ever stir up emotions?”

At that moment, a man from the Xuan Ming Sect crowd stepped forward, holding up his phone as he proclaimed aloud, ”I have a recording of Bruce and Galava’s secret plotting, as well as a recording of Bruce’s meeting with the leaders of various organizations last night. It’s more than enough to prove that Galava stirred up emotions. Moreover, without Galava’s instigation, the leaders of the organizations would never have followed Bruce.”

Everyone stared agape at the man. Why would a member of the Xuan Ming Sect come forward to expose Galava?

”Zhu Jian, you... you—you betrayed me,” Galava stammered in anger.

The so-called whistleblower, Zhu Jian, smiled coldly. ”I am a ’Supervisor’ sent by the Huang Quan Sect to the Xuan Ming Sect. I never belonged to the Xuan Ming Sect, so how can you speak of betrayal?”

The crowd erupted. To think Huang Quan had actually planted a spy within the Xuan Ming Sect! Could there also be Huang Quan spies in other organizations? Hmm, we’ll have to do a thorough check when we get back... the leaders of the various organizations thought to themselves.

”Galava, the evidence is definitive. If you don’t die now, then when?” Ye Xiu said coldly.

Mo Qingdi, Tang Buyi, and the others instantly drew their weapons, eying Galava with cold intent, making it clear that if he didn’t commit suicide, they would take action themselves.

This scared Galava half to death. He quickly pleaded, ”Ye Xiu, Mr. Ye, Divine Doctor Ye, you must see the finer details here! It was Bruce who misled me; he was the one who urged me to stir up emotions. He’s an Eighth Realm War God, I didn’t dare disobey him...”

”Galava, you...” Bruce exclaimed in rage, cursing inwardly. That useless pig of a teammate actually betrayed me!

”In that case, the death sentence can be spared, but the punishment cannot be escaped,” Ye Xiu pronounced coldly. ”Beat him for half an hour!”

Mo Qingdi and Tang Buyi immediately pounced on Galava, dragging him aside and beginning to beat him mercilessly in front of everyone present.

The scene made Bruce’s scalp tingle as anger surged within him. He glared at Ye Xiu and said, ”Ye Xiu, you’re too arrogant. Galava isn’t your subordinate; what right do you have to punish him?” The subtext being, ’I’m not your subordinate either, so you have no right to punish me.’

Ye Xiu completely ignored Bruce’s words and said in a chilly voice, ”It’s your turn.”

”You dare!” Bruce drew his sword and said coldly, ”I am the only Eighth Realm on Biluo Island, the Supreme Commander of the global Martial Artist Allied Forces. If you lay a hand on me, you will be making an enemy of the entire global Martial Artist Allied Forces.”
