Chapter 134 - 134 13 The Island of Wa Approaching! (Page 2/3)

First a few tens of meters, then a few hundred meters, and ultimately around one kilometer!

“There are several islands over there, their shapes look familiar from television!” In mid-air, Jia Yan quickly noticed several island groups not far away!

After a while, he finally realized!

The name of the island was ‘Diaoyu Island’!

It was a place that was quite famous in the current world!

But its fame was not due to any beautiful scenery on the island, rather it was a disputed area between several countries.

Jia Yan quickly looked around and indeed saw several boat outlines in the sea!

He quickly flew apart, circumventing this sea area and continued to fly in the northeast direction.

Upon reaching Diaoyu Island, below lay clusters of islands and tiny reefs that stretched out to Ryukyu, which today is the place Wa Kingdom claims as Okinawa!

Once there, the island of Wa would be close!

Jia Yan continued his flight.

Time passed quickly, amid the vast ocean where the sea was visible in all directions.

Even if Jia Yan soared high into the sky, trying to spot the islands on the distant horizon was still extremely challenging!

He drifted off track a few times but was able to find his bearings with the sun overhead.

During the flight, Jia Yan even took a brief rest on a deserted island!

This tiny island was home to three or four trees and very little scrub, occupying no more than a few hundred square meters, so small it could hardly be seen on a map.

After taking a good rest on this uninhabited island and regaining his lost strength, he once again set off!

The sights along the way through the ocean were indeed mesmerizing at the beginning.

But the endless sea horizon can wear you out over time.

Compared to flying at night over cities and various other landscapes that offered a change of scenery, the ocean seldom offered even a boat to look at!

After a long flight, Jia Yan was able to identify some islands and flew over them one by one.

His general direction was accurate!

When structures that bore unique Wa Kingdom features started appearing on some of the islands, Jia Yan knew he had reached Wa’s Ryukyu Islands!

On reaching these places, Jia Yan already knew his path even without looking!

Seeing infinitely many fishing boats’ shadows everywhere, the Wa people loved fish so much that many fish species worldwide were near extinction due to being overeaten by them.

So, following these fishing boats would lead him directly to Wa.

This area though was somewhere Jia Yan needed to be more careful as stationed across the Ryukyu Islands were tens of thousands of troops from the Stars and Stripes Country.

Their arsenal was likely even more advanced than on Diaoyu Island.

So, it was best for Jia Yan to be more careful!

Having had the previous experience, Jia Yan had already thought of ways to deal with fighter planes!

During his voyage over the Diaoyu sea, he discovered that he could still dive underwater in his current form.

Although swimming speed was not very fast after entering the water, at least he wasn’t a klutz!

If he encountered another jet, he could simply dive into the water.

As long as he controlled his ‘respiratory muscles’ well and prevented the seawater from pouring into his mutated ‘respiratory system’, there would be no major danger!

Could the jet even dive into the water to chase him?!

This was Jia’s plan for dealing with the situation!

Perhaps Jia Yan was just lucky, or maybe the Stars and Stripes Nation’s men didn’t take this ‘bird’ flying in the sky seriously.

Either way, he wasn’t intercepted by any planes as he flew eastward for several hours, following the trail of islands.

It was normal, after all.

The level of security in the seas controlled by the Stars and Stripes Nation in this area wouldn’t need to be as high as that on Diaoyu Island.

There was no potential danger in the vicinity after all.

Maybe the Stars and Stripes Country felt that every corner of the world could be their backyard and dismissed the need for defense altogether.

Regardless, Jia Yan continued to fly high in the sky.

From a height of thousand meter, he could sometimes spot large inhabited islands ahead of him.

As he went further, more and more large islands appeared, culminating in an island spanning a hundred or so square kilometers before him!

“This island should be ‘Amami Oshima,’ as per the description I saw on the map.

It is part of the Wa Kingdom’s Lu Island City!” Jia Yan altered his route as far as possible upon seeing the island to steer clear of it and flew on into the distance.
