Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

He’d maintain his flight speed for a stretch, then wait for the speed to decrease.

Then he’d flap his wings vigorously to boost the speed again!

Even though there was some energy consumption, because of the rest period during gliding, by the time he flapped his wings again, some of his stamina had already recovered.

“Fly!

Fly!

Fly!!” Jia Yan roared, flying through the air, his compound eyes flashing with a faint light!

He had made up his mind to fly straight from the north to his southern hometown in one go!

A linear distance of over two thousand kilometers, Jia Yan planned to fly over it at his fastest cruising speed!

The concept of cruising speed is the fastest flight speed that can be maintained without exhausting all one’s strength.

“My speed is really very fast!

Plus, I’m traveling in a straight line, with just a few brief rests, I should be able to arrive quickly.

But I must make sure not to deviate too much!”

In Jia Yan’s compound eyes flickered a mysterious gleam.

Tonight was a full moon night, and with the moonlight acting as a guide, along with periodic landings to check his computer, there was no risk of veering far off course!

This time, considering the long-distance flight, Jia Yan flew directly to an altitude of around two hundred and fifty meters!

This was his first time flying this high.

Up here, cold winds gusted constantly; the chilling sounds were disturbing, much like the howls of ghosts!

The temperature at this altitude was even lower, almost dropping below zero.

Had it been an ordinary mosquito, it would have stiffened and fallen to the ground.

But for Jia Yan, who was fueled by rage, the cold was ideal, just right to cool him down!

Fly, fly, fly!

Tumen City was right underneath him, but Jia Yan only glanced at it before flying over!

His speed was too fast, and his altitude high enough, that people below could only see a huge ‘bird’ with a wingspan of two meters under the moonlight, swiftly passing by; none would imagine it was the giant mosquito making Tumen City the center of media attention.

After leaving the city, it would probably just become part of his past.

“I’m maintaining a speed of about 200 kilometers per hour.

This must be the limit of my current cruising speed!”

Jia Yan swiftly flapped his wings.

As his wings couldn’t be manipulated as effectively as a bird’s, he needed to forcefully flap a few times after gliding for around ten seconds to maintain speed.

Jia Yan’s advantage in flight was exceptional power!

He hadn’t tested how strong he was with his current one-meter-tall body, but if his wings were able to lift a body weighing thirty or forty kilograms into the air, it meant his wing muscles were certainly extremely strong.

If his speed decreased or altitude dropped, he would use his powerful wing muscles to vigorously flap his wings, boosting both speed and altitude again!

It didn’t take much time for him to cross the entire Tumen City region!

There was a regular train running below!

Seeing the train, Jia caught up with it from behind, swiftly overtook it and left it far behind!

“With this comparison, I really feel the absurdity of my current speed!

Maybe it’s not much different from the fastest flying swallow in the world.”

Jia Yan’s eyes shimmered with excitement.

This was his first long-distance flight, but he felt that he still had room for improvement!

This included his method of exerting force, ways to conserve energy, and even riding air currents – it was all a learning experience.

“Huh, there’s a current here, my speed is faster if I go up, and it saves energy!”

When he flew to a certain place, a current swept past his body, and Jia Yan instantly felt lighter!

The direction of the wind conveniently aligned with Jia Yan’s flight trajectory, so he simply twisted his wings, stopping their flapping, and ‘rode’ the air current!

He rode it for over ten kilometers before the wind changed direction.

Jia Yan twisted his wings again, flapped vigorously a few times to break free from the air current, and continued his flight!

Thanks to the rest he got by riding the air current, he felt his drained energy was instantly replenished.

“So, you can actually fly like this… No wonder some birds can stay in the sky for so long without landing.”

Jia Yan was quickly picking up the skills and tricks of long-distance high-altitude flight!

This was his first attempt at high-altitude long-distance flight.

By now, he had become considerably robust compared to ordinary birds.

His endurance, strength, and body defense were superior.
