Capítulo 1216: Chapter 465: Wen Ruan and Liu Qingning

3:30 PM.

Cloud Stream Building, Songmei Clothing.

“Let’s go, Qiuqiu, time for the meeting.”

Cheng Qiuyu saved the file, picked up her laptop, and stood up to follow her colleague towards the meeting room.

Her fingers unconsciously stroked the edge of her notebook, feeling a bit anxious inside.

Today, the art director hired by the company from the 4A company (Star Cloud International) officially joined.

The participants mainly consisted of a few colleagues from the brand vision group and the live streaming visual group.

This meeting would decide the final direction of the brand visual system and whether her design could be retained.

In other words, she was the protagonist today.

She pushed open the meeting room door.

Zhao Mingwei from the strategy group had already been waiting there, smiling as he pointed to the front: “The video conference is already connected, this is Lin Zishan, the senior designer from Xingyun International Group, Director Lin.”

Cheng Qiuyu’s gaze fell on the LED screen.

On the screen was a woman in her thirties, wearing a neatly tailored women’s casual suit, her hair tidily tied back, with confident and composed eyes.

Behind her was a bookshelf displaying some design trophies and art books.

It appeared professional and authoritative.

“Good afternoon, colleagues from Songmei.” Lin Zishan’s voice came through the speaker.

“Director Lin, good afternoon.” “Good afternoon.”

After some simple pleasantries.

Everyone took their seats and introduced themselves one by one.

After chatting with each other for more than ten minutes.

Lin Zishan’s gaze swept across the screen, her tone gentle yet undeniable: “Qiuqiu, I’ve already seen your design draft, I think the process of the ribbon transformation is too complicated, not direct enough. Consumers don’t have the time to interpret these details, we need a simpler, more impactful visual symbol.”

Upon hearing this, Cheng Qiuyu paused for a moment, explaining: “My original intention was to convey the brand’s elegance and fluidity through the details of the ribbon, which is also the soul of our brand’s clothing.”

She then explained her design concept.

“You were previously doing graphic design, right? UI and UX?”

Hearing Lin Zishan’s superior tone, Cheng Qiuyu pressed her lips together, “Yes, that’s right.”

As a flying consultant, the other party must have already looked over the resumes of these designers.

“Brand visual design must consider practical effects, which is very different from your previous work.” Lin Zishan’s tone became serious, “Your overly artistic expression, although beautiful, is difficult to resonate in the market. We need symbols that can quickly capture the consumer’s attention, not artworks that need to be interpreted.”

“So what do you mean?” Cheng Qiuyu’s voice was somewhat low.

Lin Zishan’s tone was very firm, “It can be made more concrete! You could even directly fold a piece of fabric into letter shapes, which is both close to the industry attributes and easy to remember…”

Lin Zishan continued to speak.

Cheng Qiuyu hung her head, lips tightly pressed together.

This was the result of her hard work, staying up late to produce, originally full of confidence, feeling it was very well done, and even showed it to Tang Song during the semi-finished stage.

Yet now, it was criticized by professionals as being quite poor and could potentially slow down the company’s branding progress.

She indeed had never worked in commercial brand visual system design before, and creating this logo and color scheme relied on past experience, so even if she wanted to argue, she didn’t know where to start.

For a while, she felt somewhat panicked.

Even though she was having all sorts of internal changes, from the outside, to her colleagues, she appeared rather cold and aloof.

Lin Zishan was clearly irritated by her attitude, frowning, “Qiuqiu, I’m here to provide professional advice, not to compete with you, if you have any objections, you can bring them up now.”

“I…” Cheng Qiuyu raised her head, face tense, “I’ll redesign a version.”

She knew her shortcomings, not good at communicating with people, nor knowing how to tactfully make others accept her ideas.

Lin Zishan shook her head, “I feel you haven’t understood my point, I hope you abandon previous design habits and seriously consider commercial aspects…”

Just then, the meeting room door was gently pushed open.

“President Tang!” “President Tang!”

The employees immediately stood up.
