Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 746: Chapter 333: Extraordinary Is the Abyss?

With Erin leading the way, the two of them quickly found a suitable inn and a place to gather information.

The purpose of their trip was to scout the area and verify whether the captain’s words were true. They would decide how to capitalize on the Kingdom’s faith based on the attitude of the Ogre Kingdom’s populace.

If their faith in the Great Saint Mother was unshakeable, Wu Chang wouldn’t mind having the True Self transform into a thousand-meter Sea Giant, crushing all the ships in the Ogre Royal Port, only to be chased away by Erin descending from the sky.

By then, the Ogre Kingdom would have no choice but to believe; if not, once Erin leaves, he’d return promptly to continue the havoc.

Even Da Gang could cause unrest in the Ogre Kingdom. If forced to take action, the Ogre Kingdom could forget about launching any ships in the future.

Such is the nature of religion; to highlight the greatness of the Lord, there must always be a major villain that needs the Lord’s intervention.

No one is better suited to be this villain than Wu Chang.

They stayed in the Ogre Royal City for four days. During these four days, Erin took Wu Chang to all her favorite places, recounting many anecdotes from this city.

Thanks to the Church, although Erin’s soul was shattered at that time, without negative emotions, all her memories of the Royal City were positive and beautiful.

When she talked about past events, she couldn’t help but smile. She knew every corner of this place, and even when passing a street vendor, she could remember how, every time she preached there, the vendor would give her an iris flower.

While they toured, they also gathered intelligence about the Ogre Kingdom.

Wu Chang came prepared for the worst, but the intelligence he received exceeded his expectations.

The continuous breakthroughs in Mysticism and Alchemy didn’t lead the Ogre Kingdom to question the rationality of God’s existence; instead, most of the population felt terrified by such rapid progress.

The water of Extraordinary popularization runs too deep; they knew they couldn’t grasp it.

Many believers even pessimistically viewed it as a sign of losing God’s favor, foreseeing humanity’s impending self-destruction.

The Ogre Kingdom not only couldn’t detach itself from God but needed a stabilized faith more than ever.

Given this, Erin and Wu Chang had no need to conceal themselves.

That night, Erin used the statue of the Saintess constructed in recent days in the Royal City to convey divine oracle to the Church.

The oracle was delivered at night, and the Church’s name was changed at midnight.

The next morning, the originally named Ogre Great Cathedral had been changed to the Eternal Light Saintess Cathedral.

When Erin descended on the square of the Saintess Cathedral, everyone present kneeled down to worship her.

No speech was needed; Erin only needed to say, ”I’m back,” and the people of the Royal City shouted their willingness to die for the Saintess.

Though it seemed exaggerated, a quick consideration made it reasonable.

She barely started preaching on the island before causing the Briff islanders to awaken, understand good and evil, and strongly believe in the Saintess.

The Royal City is her birthplace. Her influence here surpasses that of Briff Island tenfold or hundredfold; it would be odd if she didn’t have this reputation.

In terms of influence, even if the Great Saint Mother descended personally, she couldn’t surpass Erin, who personally walked through the streets to bless and preach to the people.

Watching the whole process, Wu Chang couldn’t help but smirk. Had he known of Erin’s terrifying popular appeal, they wouldn’t have needed to inquire about any news.

Wrong, he didn’t know; how could Erin not be aware of her own capabilities?

He looked at Erin, catching her mischievous, satisfied smile.

Tsk, if you wanted to go on a date with me, just say so. Could I ever refuse?

After the scene in the square, nothing could stop the transformation of the Ogre National Church into the Eternal Light Church in the Ogre Kingdom.

Especially since the Saintess originated from the Ogre National Church, the transition of the Saintess replacing the Saint Mother was so seamless that even the most devout followers of the Great Saint Mother couldn’t refuse to believe in Erin.

For ordinary people and nobility, changing faith was easy, but the true challenge came from the former high-level officials of the National Church who knew Erin’s background.
