Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 163: Chapter 142: You Guys Should Live a Little Longer

”Dig!”

”Item Name: Precious Gemstone Ring.”

”Item Description: Property formally transferred by its owner, extremely valuable, can be exchanged for one thousand Rotten Silver Coins at the system’s recycling merchant.”

Wu Chang put the ring on, immediately swung his hoe, and started digging a hole.

One thousand Rotten Silver Coins for a pit, if they’re all this priced, he could dig through the whole Royal Tomb!

Ten minutes later, a clear collision sound came from the hole Wu Chang dug.

The sound instantly drew everyone’s attention.

First to charge over with a shovel was Luz, so fast that Wu Chang almost didn’t see him clearly. Just this inadvertent burst showed Luz was no less impressive than Lei Hu on the first day.

Several disguised Knights followed closely, a group of great nobles seemingly competing with Wu Chang for achievements, desperately dug pits.

Soon, an exceptionally magnificent metal tomb chamber door appeared in front of Wu Chang and the others.

Compared to the two Eternal Life Chamber doors Wu Chang had seen before, the difference with this door was akin to a promotional page versus a buyer’s show.

Luz turned his head, looking at Wu Chang excitedly, ”Open it!”

Wu Chang took the key Han’er had given him earlier, and inserted it into the tomb chamber door.

The key’s model was wrong, the tooth shape was wrong, even the style of the key and door were mismatched, but strangely, it could still be turned once inserted.

With the clicking sound of gears turning and the friction of metal plates, the tomb chamber door beneath everyone’s feet opened.

Wu Chang shouted inside, ”Anyone home? Some tenants want to co-rent with you, do you mind?”

His voice echoed in the tomb chamber, no sound came from inside.

”Seems like he doesn’t mind.”

Luz and the others didn’t notice Wu Chang’s actions, they unloaded the stone coffins they were dragging, and Luz took out a particularly large stone coffin unique to him from the carriage.

The group dragged eleven stone coffins into the Eternal Tomb.

Upon entering the Eternal Tomb, a golden throne was placed in the center, a man with a dignified face, wearing a crown and clad in golden full-body plate armor, sat on it, overlooking everything in the tomb chamber.

Wu Chang had seen this man in the resentment of the Tree of Miracles, he was Mikhail I.

Seen him before. Despite that, given his current status, he should be somewhat surprised.

So he instantly retreated behind the crowd, conveniently dragging the injured Soul Light Bishop from the wheelchair, using him as a meat shield, and asked:

”Is this Mikhail I’s tomb? Judging by his expression, he doesn’t seem to welcome us. Should we just call it quits this time?”

Luz snorted, laid the stone coffin beside the Golden Throne, and said, ”He’s too busy to notice us.”

Several Knights followed Luz’s example, placing the stone coffins properly.

Luz came to Wu Chang, reached out to grab the Soul Light Bishop, and said, ”Lend him to me.”

Wu Chang let go, saying, ”Go ahead.”

Luz placed the Soul Light Bishop into a stone coffin, then drew his sword and stabbed it through the bishop’s heart.

Wu Chang frowned at the sight, thinking, is this preparing to kill the donkey once it stops being useful?

Luz seemed to notice his thoughts, turned to look at Wu Chang, and said, ”It’s part of the ritual.”

Discovering Mikhail I’s Eternal Life Chamber seemed to have brightened Luz considerably, his previously taciturn personality showed cracks, and his awkward speech turned fluent.

”We need to enter a near-death status, die completely in the minute the moon turns into a Blood Moon, and then resurrect by the Blood Moon to successfully absorb the Blood Moon Power. Any missing part won’t work.”

Saying this, Luz pointed at Mikhail I on the Golden Throne, mockingly saying:

”He’s no different. To embrace Blood Moon Eternal Life, he entered complete death early. Even sensing our arrival, he can’t wake, nor stop us.”

As if to validate Luz’s viewpoint, the other nine Knights lay in their stone coffins, turned their swords, and stabbed into their chests.

The smell of blood instantly filled the entire chamber.

Wu Chang, seemingly unable to stand blood, turned his head aside, quietly asked, ”What if death doesn’t coincide with the Blood Moon? Need my help?”

Luz said, ”That would lead to true death. But don’t worry, we have methods to control our life and death.”

Wu Chang swallowed, watching Luz gradually approach, asked, ”Do I have to do this too?”
