The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2628: Chapter 2628: Disturbance at the Plum Appreciation Banquet (Part 4)

It was likely under the instruction of the master inside the carriage that the coachman shouted at Wang Hai: ”Move back.”

Ye Zhou, having a military background and experienced real battlefield combat, especially with a long scar across his face from left to right, was quite intimidating just at a glance.

Although Yang Ruxin had applied medicine to it, because the wound was too deep and had been there for too long, it had only faded slightly and couldn’t be completely erased. But Ye Zhou himself didn’t mind.

When he heard the coachman’s clamor, he immediately shot over a sharp glare.

The coachman was instantly startled, thinking to himself how frightening the man was. His speech became somewhat faltering: ”What are you glaring at? Do you know who my master is? Move aside quickly.”

Ye Zhou did not respond. The madam had instructed him to keep a low profile outside, yet if someone truly blind sought trouble, he should teach them a good lesson. As long as it wasn’t someone on their side who was bullying or causing trouble, there was no need to be weak; if anything happened, the madam would handle it.

However, Ye Zhou’s disregard seemed to infuriate the person in the carriage. Hadn’t they noticed the emblem on their coach? How dare a lowly nobody from who-knows-where be so rude!

So, a maid stepped down from the carriage, arrogantly walking to Yang Ruxin’s carriage: ”Didn’t you see our lady’s carriage over there? Move back quickly, you worthless rabble, don’t you even know to watch for signals?”

Ye Zhou casually glanced at the maid who acted like her eyes were on her forehead: ”Here, we’re all waiting in line to get in. You came late, so why should we make way? Why didn’t you leave earlier?”

”You...” The maid hadn’t expected a mere coachman to be so glib, ”Do you know who my lady is? How dare you be so bold, do you have a death wish?”

”I don’t know who your lady is, I only need to know who my master is.” Ye Zhou wore a disdainful expression and snorted coldly.

The maid was immediately silenced.

Inside the carriage, Erni seemed a bit nervous, but seeing Yang Ruxin’s calm demeanor, she didn’t feel as tense.

Yang Ruxin remained silent and also stopped Chai Qin, as that maid might start a fight once down there. Instead, she motioned to Xiaoyun: ”You go down and have a look.”

Xiaoyun nodded; she understood that the madam was training her. In the past, they only stayed in the village and wouldn’t encounter such matters, but in the future, living with the Second Miss, these incidents would be more frequent. A competent maid couldn’t let the master handle everything, so she quickly jumped down the carriage and approached the maid: ”Sister, I’m not sure what we did wrong for you to be shouting like this at the gates of the Duke Residence?”

Yang Ruxin’s lips curled slightly; this maid had quite the quick tongue.

Only Chai Qin pouted. What’s the point of the long-winded exchange with such an obnoxious maid? A good slap would solve it.

Ban Qin, being a trusted confidante and favorite of the master, often accompanied the master on outings, and naturally, she was used to seeing the nobles in Beijing. Seeing Xiaoyun as an unfamiliar face, and judging from her not-so-luxurious clothing, she assumed Xiaoyun was a staff member from some small official’s house, sneaking into the place for a glimpse of the high-life. She snorted coldly: ”Seeing my lady’s carriage arrive, you didn’t know to make way, so tell me, where do you think you went wrong?”
