The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2541: Chapter 2541: Double-Sided Embroidery (5)

”Alright.” Yang Ruhuan loved going to Yang Ruxin’s house the most.

The two girls inside heard the commotion and quickly stood up and walked to the door.

Yao Lixia had met Yang Ruxin before and knew she wasn’t pretentious, so she happily called her Sister Xin, but Dong Wufu hadn’t met her and seemed a bit uneasy.

”This is the future little sister-in-law, indeed she’s quite pretty.” Yang Ruxin toned down all her sharpness and smiled at Dong Wufu, ”Brother Rulin is lucky.”

Dong Wufu was somewhat flattered and unexpectedly didn’t say anything because she didn’t know how to address the other.

”You’re older than me since you’re with Brother Rulin, call me Xinxin.” Yang Ruxin was very casual.

”Xinxin.” Dong Wufu called out joyfully, then turned into the room to fetch two handkerchiefs and handed one to both Yang Ruxin and Chai Qin, ”I embroidered them myself, they’re not very good, please... please don’t mind.” She knew Chai Qin was Yang Ruxin’s maid, but felt it wouldn’t be right not to give her one, unsure if doing this broke any rules.

Chai Qin looked at Yang Ruxin.

”You have a personality like a chili pepper, suits this red color.” Yang Ruxin chose a light pink one for herself and gave the rose-red one to Chai Qin. Upon unfolding it, she was quite surprised, ”Double-sided embroidery?” even different designs on each side, where the patterns on both sides of the handkerchief are different.

”Yes, I learned it from my grandmother, but she passed away early, and I just picked up the basics.” Dong Wufu’s eyes gleamed as she spoke, ”My grandmother’s craftsmanship was really good.”

”Your embroidery is quite good, this kind of craftsmanship is rare in the countryside.” Yang Ruxin looked up at Dong Wufu. ”Besides handkerchiefs, can you embroider screens?”

Dong Wufu nodded, ”Yes, I can.”

”In two months, what can you embroider?”

”Two months?” Dong Wufu thought for a moment, ”I can embroider a ’Phoenix through Peony,’ two square feet.”

Phoenix through Peony is quite complex. Yang Ruxin nodded, ”Alright then, I’ll have someone send the materials later. In two months, you need to rush a double-sided embroidered screen for an elderly person’s birthday celebration. You can design the pattern yourself, how about that?”

”I...” Dong Wufu hesitated, then immediately nodded, ”Okay.” She knew that if her craftsmanship was appreciated, she could earn money and wouldn’t have to worry about not having a dowry for her marriage next year.

Yang Ruxin smiled, she hadn’t misjudged this girl, her nature is good, at least she didn’t immediately start negotiating money.

The others were a bit taken aback, a business opportunity settled with just a few words?

”Sister Xin, I can also sew.” Yang Ruhuan went over and hugged Yang Ruxin’s arm.

”I know, because we’re at the same level.” Yang Ruxin nodded seriously, ”I can embroider an Mandarin duck to look like a duck, while you can embroider a duck to look like a Mandarin duck, that’s already amazing.”

Pfft! Chai Qin was the first to burst into laughter, followed by everyone else who couldn’t help but laugh.

Yang Ruhuan couldn’t help but stomp her feet, but in the end, she joined in the laughter too. After all, she didn’t think it was bad, Sister Xin couldn’t sew either, so it’s no big deal if she couldn’t, she’d just follow Sister Xin in business in the future.

The adults outside heard the laughter coming from inside and felt happy. It meant Yang Ruxin had accepted Wufu; although she seemed easy-going usually, in reality, few people truly won her approval, so everyone’s smiles became much brighter.
