Chapter 2097: Chapter 2097: Don’t Want to Get Married (5)

Yang Ruxin didn’t refuse and let her help put the shoes on her feet, then stood up and walked a few steps: ”Not bad, thank you.” Then she instructed Chai Qin to take the basket of shoes next door to Dong Wenxiu, asking her to distribute them to everyone later.

Luo Qiaoqiao smiled, her earlier apprehension now gone.

Although life has given her and her family so many hardships, they are still fortunate, fortunate to have met good people, allowing them to reunite as a family like this.

For this kindness, not to mention just making shoes, even if she had to repay with her life, she wouldn’t hesitate in the slightest.

”Are you getting used to these days?” Yang Ruxin gestured for Luo Qiaoqiao to sit down.

”Madam, everyone has been very good to us.” Luo Qiaoqiao’s smile grew brighter, ”Even my younger brothers have learned to read.” Originally, their father and second uncle should have died, but they are still alive, and although their health is still very weak, as long as they are alive, they are not orphans.

”That’s good.” Yang Ruxin nodded.

”Madam, I’ve come to ask you for a favor.” Luo Qiaoqiao stood up again and then knelt down, ”I don’t want to get married.”

”Hmm?” Yang Ruxin was puzzled, ”Who’s forcing you to get married?”

”It’s... it’s Gao Tiechui.” Luo Qiaoqiao bit her lip, ”I know he’s a good person, he helped me last time too...”

”What’s going on?” Yang Ruxin quickly interrupted her, ”How did you end up entangled with Gao Tiechui?”

After the Gao family father and son arrived, she arranged for them to stay in a house in the town, because the old Gao had jade carving skills, so she provided a lot of ore for him to carve and process.

The father and son rarely came to the village, of course, they would come once or twice a month when some jade pieces were completed; sometimes they would stay overnight in the village.

”Last time, I was washing clothes by the river, and the stone under my foot slipped, and I fell into the water.” Luo Qiaoqiao showed a face of helplessness, ”Actually, I can swim, and I could have come up, but he happened to be passing by, jumped right in, and forcibly pushed me up...”

Yang Ruxin laughed a little, indeed that guy is a bit silly.

”Even though I didn’t need help, since he helped me, I had to express some gratitude, so I let him go into the house to change clothes, with ones made by madam for my father.” Luo Qiaoqiao looked up at Yang Ruxin, ”But after that day, he began coming over frequently, even though he couldn’t talk, he still expressed himself wanting me to marry him, and when entering the door, he even knelt and kowtowed to my father and uncle...”

”You don’t like him?” Yang Ruxin was equally amused and annoyed.

Luo Qiaoqiao nodded, ”It’s not because he’s mute, it’s just that I don’t want to marry anyone at all.”

”I’m asking, if you ever want to get married someday, would you want to marry him?” Yang Ruxin stood up and pulled her up, ”Don’t worry, just tell me your true thoughts.”

Luo Qiaoqiao bit her lip but firmly shook her head.

”Even if he could talk, you wouldn’t be willing?”

Luo Qiaoqiao shook her head again, ”Even if he were healthy, wealthy, and powerful, I still wouldn’t want to marry him.” And he certainly isn’t.

”I understand.” Yang Ruxin nodded, raising her hand to pat her shoulder, ”Don’t worry, he won’t bother you anymore.”

”Thank you, madam.” Luo Qiaoqiao showed a relieved smile.

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”If you ever find someone you like in the future, you can tell me.”
