The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1924: Chapter 1924: Show Some Real Skills (Part 1)

The Empress Dowager Jiang glanced at Cui Meng, ”That’s because Xinxin has that skill.”

”Precisely that,” Cui Meng lowered her gaze, ”a third-rank, that’s a first for our Great Xuan Dynasty.”

The Noble Consort Mu couldn’t help but look at Cui Meng, usually so reticent; what was going on today?

Just then, a palace attendant came in to announce that Madam Ruyi had arrived.

The Empress Dowager Jiang said, ”Summon her.”

Cui Meng ceased speaking and turned her gaze towards the door.

Yang Ruxin entered and upon seeing the Noble Consort Mu, she thought nothing of it, but she hadn’t expected the Virtuous Concubine to be present too. Thinking of Lun Yi, it seemed this woman was not as indifferent to world matters as she appeared, huh?

”No need for formalities,” the Empress Dowager Jiang gestured with her hand as Yang Ruxin approached, ”Just tell me, what business do you wish to conduct with me?”

”Empress Dowager, opening a shop, of course,” Yang Ruxin candidly replied, not bothering with formalities.

The Empress Dowager’s eyes lit up, though she feigned disinterest, ”Doesn’t the Dowager lack your little bit of silver?”

”Of course, the Empress Dowager doesn’t lack silver, but who dislikes having more money?” Yang Ruxin looked at the Empress Dowager, ”Moreover, with more silver, you can help more people, can’t you? This Daxuan belongs to the Emperor, and the Emperor belongs to the Empress Dowager, doesn’t the Empress Dowager wish for the Daxuan Country to be more prosperous? At that time, if Yuan Country dares to invade again, the Empress Dowager could crush them with silver...”

”Haha...” The Empress Dowager was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter, ”You clever girl with all your words; crush them with silver? That’s a good idea...”

The Noble Consort Mu also laughed along, ”Makes sense, with money, we won’t fear their invasion.”

Cui Meng’s gaze became somewhat complicated.

”Tell me, what kind of shop are you planning to open?” After laughing, the Empress Dowager looked towards Yang Ruxin.

”A hotpot shop,” Yang Ruxin replied as she took out a few chili peppers from her bag, ”These are the chili peppers I cultivated, spicy ones; they taste much better than prickly ash in dishes...”

”Oh?” The Empress Dowager showed a curious look, ”Isn’t this...”

”This is the red fruit from Shu Land,” Yang Ruxin presented it, ”It took a lot of effort to grow them and then make hot sauce. I believe the Empress Dowager has tried it, right?”

”Indeed, that was quite flavorful.” Upon hearing about the chili sauce, the Empress Dowager nodded.

”But the Empress Dowager hasn’t tasted dishes made with this yet.”

”This can be directly used for cooking?” The Empress Dowager looked at the chili pepper, sniffed it under her nose, and couldn’t help but frown.

”Would the Empress Dowager like to try it?”

”Try it?” The Empress Dowager glanced at the Noble Consort Mu and the Virtuous Concubine.

”Then let’s try,” the Noble Consort Mu smiled and nodded, ”If you want to open a shop with the Empress Dowager, you must show some skills, right?”

Cui Meng didn’t speak, but her gaze towards Yang Ruxin was deeply probing.

”Go ahead,” the Empress Dowager nodded.

”Alright,” Yang Ruxin stood up, pretending not to notice Cui Meng’s scrutiny, ”Where should I go to cook?”

”Hong Ye, take Madam Ruyi to the Imperial Kitchen,” the Empress Dowager glanced at Hong Ye beside her, ”Today’s share is all for Madam to prepare.”

”And mine as well,” the Noble Consort Mu hastily added.

”Empress Dowager, may I also join in the fun?” Cui Meng quickly asked.

However, before the Empress Dowager could respond, a palace attendant announced from outside: the Virtuous Concubine, Wise Concubine, and Leng Zhaoyi have all come to pay their respects.
