The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1570: Chapter 1570: Coming-of-Age Ceremony 3 (16)

The ceremony was held in the courtyard of the Yang Family’s small building. At this moment, a red carpet was already laid out in the courtyard, with chairs placed in the center. Dong Wenxiu and Dong Wenming were already seated there, with Yuan Mengzhu and Lin Xiaoling sitting on two chairs beside them.

Kneeling cushions were placed in front of them.

As soon as Yang Ruxin walked out, everyone’s eyes brightened. Everyone knew that Yang Ruxin was pretty, but since she usually dressed in the simplest of clothes and rarely wore skirts, with her hair casually tied in a braid behind her, she was more plain than any girl in the village. So, unless people constantly stared at her face, they wouldn’t be particularly dazzled.

But today was different. The flowing long dress, the exquisite brow and eye makeup, the transcendent temperament... each was breathtaking.

At this moment, many people truly realized that Yang Dani was indeed a pearl, which, even if it fell among fish eyes, would eventually shine.

Watching her outstanding daughter slowly walk out, Dong Wenxiu’s eyes were moist, and she couldn’t help but recall all the events of the past years, flashing scene by scene in her mind, her heart filled with myriad emotions.

”Xiuxiu, it’s starting.” Dong Wenming hurriedly reminded Dong Wenxiu in a low voice.

Dong Wenxiu returned to her senses, suppressing her emotions, stood up, and nodded slightly to the surrounding villagers and guests: ”Today my daughter Ruxin is holding her coming-of-age ceremony. Thank you all for attending! Now, the coming-of-age ceremony of my daughter Yang Ruxin officially begins. Please welcome Xinxin to meet the guests.”

Yang Ruxin walked to the middle of the red carpet, bowed to everyone, and then knelt down on the kneeling cushion.

Yu Qingge took a deep breath and hurriedly went up to comb Yang Ruxin’s hair. After symbolically combing it a few times, she set the comb down. Lin Xiaoling and Yuan Mengzhu stood up together at this moment, with Lin Xiaoling carrying a tray covered with red silk. Yuan Mengzhu walked up to Yang Ruxin and recited the ceremonial blessing in a loud voice: ”On this blessed day, you don your adult attire. Abandon your childish dreams and embrace your virtuous composure. May you live a long and peaceful life, blessed with great fortune.”

Dong Wenxiu accompanied her.

After Yuan Mengzhu’s recitation, he began styling Yang Ruxin’s hair, gathering her flowing black hair into a bun. Then he took the white jade hairpin, personally carved by Gu Qingheng, from the tray Lin Xiaoling held, and placed it into the bun.

The simple ceremony thus concluded, symbolizing that Yang Ruxin had now come of age.

Next, Yang Ruxin knelt on the cushion and kowtowed to her parents.

With reddened eyes, Dong Wenxiu inserted a golden hairpin into Yang Ruxin’s hair, representing her parents’ instructions and expectations for her.

”The ceremony is complete,” Yuan Mengzhu said with a smile.

Those who attended the ceremony had been silent, and now they began to congratulate Yang Ruxin, Dong Wenxiu, and the others.

Du Chengfeng led the others in inviting the guests to be seated.

At this moment, the sound of hooves was heard outside the main gate, and three horses galloped up, stopping at the entrance as several people swiftly dismounted.

Perhaps it was because the leader exuded an unmistakable aura of danger, so the surrounding people instantly fell silent.

Qi Jingyun didn’t even glance at the people around him, striding through the gate, he caught his first glimpse of Yang Ruxin standing in the middle of the courtyard. His eyes narrowed slightly — even he, who was usually indifferent to women, couldn’t help but be captivated.
